And they were an absolute embarrassment to the notion of being a police department-at least the supervisor that ordered other officers not to enter was. Uvalde gutted me because of their inaction. Same with Margery Stonemame Douglas or whatever the name of the school was that made David Hogg famous. That cop hid behind his cruiser instead of entering the school. All the cops-or most of the cops I ever worked with ran towards that shit, not away from it. I was always the first one through the door except maybe once or twice when I worked with a certain marine who would get his panties in a bunch of he wasn’t first through the door-that one is actually a funny story.

Man, I am a huge supporter of the second amendment and I definitely don’t buy that the left wants gun control because they want the populace unarmed so they can run roughshod through them without opposition. I believe them when they say they want to eradicate guns because of all the killing. I also know they’re so naive that they think the killing would stop and that criminals would no longer have access to guns while I recognize that it would be the law abiding citizens that would be the unarmed ones.
I also recognize that the left is not ok with doing things that would keep dangerous people off of the streets and away from guns such as locking felons with firearms up for a long time or locking those that are convicted of guns crimes up forever. Why? Because that involves locking up a lot of minorities and they turns their stomach

You should look up the nations with totalitarians that ordered all privately owned firearms to be banned... and then genocided their populations.
You call them naive. I call them stupid, and their leaders totalitarianistic.
The left's leaders constantly promise a utopian future, as have so many totalitarians before them, and more often than not genocides happen and the prosperous countries become shitholes.
You still believe the evil results of their policies are because of naive good intentions.
I don't. I believe they know exactly what they're doing because they don't re-access. They supposedly don't realize that having more violent criminals on the streets - let loose from the justice system dozens of times over - results in the rapes & murders of the innocent.
So, what is their motive?
Chaos.
Government causing the problem, blaming their opposition, and promising solutions... which cause the problems to get worse with more innocent victims suffering.
But the politicians families and friends never suffer, do they? They're never the victims of their own policies. They live in gated communities, their children go to private schools, walk around with bodyguards paid for by taxpayers... And they keep getting reelected.
They'd burn everything to the ground to rule over the ashes.
