Colby's post fight speech ft. Trump

I would assume is normal protocol for a person of his stature?
This is him litterally walking OUT during colbies speech.

I understand you flew there with the intention that you'd wrap the belt around his waist and the fact that didn't happen may be disapointing; however, this kind of rubs me the wrong way. I feel like it's not simply the disapointment in colby not getting the w, but him not wanting to be associated with or endorsed by a losing side.

I am no colby fan but I think we all have to admit that trump is a complete moron, he knows that people are recording his every move and can see that people are going to roast colby so hard for the fact he's litterally walking out of the arena while he gives this speech.

This is the ultimate slap in the face to someone who's endorsed you and advocated for you and lit up with ginuine happiness and joy when you called him live on air during a ufc interview. He endorses you publically even when you lose your election and you pretty much say fuck you when he comes up short in his athletic endevaours, on the world stage when he needs your support the most.

If I were Colby of course I'd be mad at my self for losing but I would be so livid at trump for walking out in the middle of my speech. I know right now this has got to be the lowest point in his life and for trump to just drop him like it's nothing it really shows how much he values the people in his life and his supporters. If this isn't a pop culture representation about how everyone around him including the people that support him are nothing more to him than tools to serve his purpose(in his mind) then I don't know what does. This makes me livid and this is coming from someone who was rooting for Leon to win.

I would assume a person of his stature, it is normal protocol for him to leave an event like that asap when the event ends. Sticking around and leaving with the crowd would probably be risky and not something secret service would like.

Don't think it has anything to do with Colby's winning or losing. Think u need to relax on the hating

I'll bide my time, Mongolia is coming to conquer England

If Strickland beats Du Plessis, Trump will probably drop a

“Great to see a hard working American like Sean Strickland Defend the UFC Title. In A Sport of Winners and Losers, Sean is a WINNER!”

so an indirect shot at Colby being a LOSER.

have you ever been to live sporting event?? the dude is like 100 years old. The fact that he was there for colbys fight period. also security reasons why maybe he would also want to leave before everyone else starts to.

So nice to see all time losers supporting each other

Even a toddler could tell he lost cause he f*cking sucks

“I thought the third, fourth and fifth rounds were mine,” Covington said at the UFC 296 post-fight press conference. “The fifth was mine, easily. The fourth was mine too, and I thought I did enough in the third. He didn’t put any damage on me. He got a couple of low kicks, but then I started checking them at the end, so I thought I had the win and did enough.

The judges never favor me. They hate me because I support Trump, and everybody hates Trump in this building, so it is what it is. Life goes on.”

Lol what a idiot! Obsessing over Trump is the only reason why idiots like Colby.
Hes following the Trump playbook

Victim hood, zero accountability and denial.
Works for Trump

Do any Americans think trump has a legit chance of being re-elected?

Also Colby knows full well he didn’t do enough and probably also that he’s past his prime and doesn’t have long left, based on his pre fight antics vs performance
Do not underestimate our stupidity sherbro

Many thought it was a complete joke in 2016

Lmao. Leon wasn't even forced to go into 2nd gear.

He was in cruise control the entire fight and it was so easy he decided to abandon striking and get into wrestling exchanges with Colby because the fight was becoming too easy.

HE HAS ABSOLUTLEY NO CHANCE.. he is going to lose by probably 10-12 million votes.... it really wasnt close last time.. this time will be a blowout... keep him around republicans.. he is and its not even close.. the biggest loser in the history of american politics... usually when one loses so bad in 20, after losing 17,18, and 19.. they would pick someone else.. but nope they kept ridding this loser 21, 22,23 all big loses on the GOP side...

The crowd loved trump when he walked out so it's amusing for him to say that the whole building hated him

I think both looked pretty bad. If you're going to say Colby looked bad, then you have to acknowledge that Leon didn't do much more. Only 13 more significant strikes, and Colby won the ground control time, finished the fight stronger too. Colby calls out Wonder Guy, because that is precisely how he keeps his name relevant, and get another possible title shot in 2024. That is who does that. Colby didn't lose in some demolishing fashion at all. Hardly the beat down people here pretend it was. If Colby didn't do much, then Leon didn't do much more.

I do agree Leon didn't do much, but he didn't need to because he is champ and it was clear he was completely dominant. It would be stupid for Leon to push any harder for a finish against an opponent that is not being aggressive or presenting any hint of danger. You can't use the numbers from the box score to argue the fight was close because I just watched the fight last night and vividly remember it was not close at all. It is way too soon for that.

Colby's control time was stupid because at that point in the fight Leon was happy to give it to him because he already had 4 rounds and Colby was only securing his loss. I don't even have to go back and rewatch the fight to tell you Leon out wrestled Colby. After several failed attempts the first time Colby got a takedown, Leon stood right back up, kicked Colby in the head and easily took him down just to show he could.

Yeah, all that shit talk Colby was spewing wasn't on the behalf of the majority of the States. Colby probably has more haters here than he does elsewhere, bc he's like a caricature of what foreigners probably believe the average American is like, which is pretty far from the case. He represents a small section of the American people. The rest of us are glad he lost.
that small group are the trump supporters,, the ones that trump led to the capital in an attempt to overturn a fair election... and he is running again.. that is how far the GOP has fallen in such a short time... what a disgrace... his hate speech has really turned up lately, i cant believe this is the guy who is running .. the white supremacist speech he gave the other day was disgusting..

The numbers don't tell the whole story. Whatever you say, or think, the fight was super close, it wasn't an outright demolishing and the deciding factor, was 13 significant strikes. Colby had more ground control time, regardless if Leon conceded, or "let him." Colby finished stronger and it wasn't this out right ass whooping that people are pretending it was. Colby at no point was wobbled, hurt, shaky, never in any trouble with submissions, and in the end, had more ground control time. If Leon's plan was to just let Colby do it towards the end, well, that's not very smart either. Colby can easily comeback from this, it wasn't a bad loss, and with no USADA, favorable match ups which the UFC isn't against, he could very well be fighting for the title again before end of 2024. Ultimately, it is a popularity contest, and depends on who can generate interest enough. Shavkat/Belal should be next, but I'm willing to bet they don't move the needle, someone like Colby does. It will be interseting to see how it all plays out, but I truly believe Colby isn't out. He's in bad spot, but it is not completely done. Only has lost to champions. I think a Usman rematch makes sense.
