News Colby talks about getting knocked down in Masvidal fight

He roled with the punch a little bit. You can watch the slow motion.
He broke the speed and impact of the punch a little bit by moving away from the punch.
He was very hurt. He immidiately started to back up and was lucky that Masvidal was gassed.
Masvidal didn't want to put his last 1% tank into trying to finish him.
A terrible decision by Masvidal.
He should have given him 2 body shots and follow up with a high kick.

I never understand why fighters never try to finish a fighter with a high kick when they are hurt.
They mostly rush in and aiming for the head with wild uncontrolled punches.
If Masvidal went for a head kick he would have taken him out.
Even if a fighters that is wobbling 'blocks' the high kick with his hands it has still impact on the head. That might be enough to shut him down.
Nah that punch landed flush and he popped back up. That shot was a haymaker

The UFC created a monster telling his coach he'd be cut no matter what after the Maia fight

Thankful for it, Colby is on his way to surpassing Ali
It's funny, UFC pushed Colby into making the best decision he's ever made.

He was legit hurt. Masvidal was just too gassed to capitalize on it.

He really wasn't. The video's already been posted of him immediately standing right back up with perfect balance and continuing just fine. Even Masvidal recognized that. He himself said he didn't attack not because he was gassed but because he feared Colby would take him down if he advanced. He thought Colby was fine too.

Being hurt is when you're actually floored and can't get back up, when you turtle, or when you start stumbling all over the place. Colby did none of that. Flash knocked down and that's it.

Hence why Colby still won the round despite being knocked down as it really wasn't anything special.

It was completely overblown, the definition of a flash KD. He popped right back up and kept attacking. Jorge didn't even win that round lol.
I honestly thought he just lost his footing, the shot looked hard, but he didn't even looked phased it.

So Covington wasn't really hurt when Usman knocked him down in both fights?

You mean the times where Usman actually floored him, he couldn't get back to his feet, turtled, and stumbled around after those shots?

Maybe you should buy some prescription glasses, so you can see better.

Covington Jumped right up immediately after being floored. The difference being Usman jumped on him right away. Masvidal didn't because he was dead tired.

Solid ghostwriting by his marketing team. Now just imagine how good he could be if he got PPV points. Shit, he could open for Schaub's next comedy special.

<mma4>

He’s corny.
I never found the appeal in his fake character

Masvidal would have won under the PRIDE scoring system, that was the most memorable and most damaging moment of the fight.
