Colby Should Just Retire

Colby looks like he got old overnight but that's what happens when you fight once a year. Guy just got past his physical prime. Still a good fighter but he's had better days. Same with Usman

I don't know, people keep talking about his age but last night was a good night for the older guys. MJ, Cub, Davey, Jacoby all had good performances, and some of those guys hardly ever fight anymore. I think it has more to do with Buckley just being a lot better than people give him credit for.

Probably, if he chooses to fight again he shouldn’t wait a year before his next fight

Some people have off nights, humans are not robots.... not yet at least.

Colby has yes men around him and doesn’t train with high level guys. He brought in Soldic way too late for this camp.

You guys are weird
Why would he retire
He is still a problem for many up and comers
Beyond all the fluff Colby is a very good fighter

Looked like a bad weight cut and he most likely was going into the fight with an injury

Colby was starting to take over the fight in the 3rd though and Buckley was fading due lactic acid in those beach muscles until the woke liberal ref & doctor in Tampa decided to stop the fight over a small cut

Needs to be a NC

2 off nights in a row and on the back end of his career. The writings on the wall,it's not getting any better.

Randy couture kept cardio and pressure up to a late age. Colby should do what he wants except hold a rank hostage. It's ridiculous you can gap out fights a year at a time and pick favorable fight to keep rank or even gain it.

Meh, maybe he can get a rematch with Masvidal or some other gimmick fight to make a buck before the end. Other than that, his schtick is tired, he's past his prime, and his fights aren't fun to watch anymore.

I don't think he should retire either way easy paycheck get cut..

But Colby def looked good with no camp

He's still got it. And is 36

he probably wants to make some more money

he just fought a younger up n comer who is very dangerous and he didn't get starched in the first round so he's doing fine enough to hang in there for a couple more it seems

Its not looking good since the Usman fights where he was a close #2 in the division, now he lost to journeyman Buckley.

Man I don't know, he looked pretty rough if you ask me. Buckley was hitting him with some big shots and his toughness was definitely on display but he didn't offer much offensively. His main game is wrestling which he never really got going and he was most likely going to be down three rounds if it hadn't been stopped. Also he had four weeks to prepare, which I know is far from ideal but I don't think it's accurate to say he had no camp.

He's never learned to strike well.

His best weapon is wrestling and he doesn't damage with it or put people in danger.

He has bad defense.

C+ fighter.
