The nut shot and eye reaction from Usman was definitely fake shit. Usman's a sneaky cheat for that shit. I watched that kick back closely and it was nowhere near his nuts. He just wanted some time from that hard ass gut kick.

Anyway I watched this and can't figure out what the excuses are... Anybody?

I mean, I am a fan of USman, but 3 of those fights were against Masvidal, Colby would easily dismantle Masvidal and look incredible while doing it.

Burns was a great win though.

I mean, how can you discredit the guy that gave Usman his hardest fight to date? Even Usman respects Colby the fighter

No one is discrediting him. We're just saying he will lose again. That's the bottom line. He has the tools to hang with Usman for 5 rounds but not win. I don't think Colby could 1 punch KO Maia, much less Street Jeezy.

I can't see anything that would suggest Colby has improved enough to win. Even his trash talk has gotten worse.

Will be interesting to see how he reacts to being hit again. Could be similar to Rory’s nose or Lesnar actually getting hit and might throw him off or he could just walk through it again

Yeah for all the hate Colby gets, it was funny how Colby had Usman hurt so bad that he had to cheat to get a break. I don't remember Colby trying to do that at all in that fight and in fact wanted to still continue when it was stopped. Who knows what could have happened if Usman didn't cheat his way into a break to recover.

He mainly just showed a more controlled output and more kicks. So I think he'll do the same against Usman. He knows that his usual high pace / high volume can be matched by Usman, so he'll throw less and pick his shots better. Not sure if that'll help him but I'd imagine that's his new strategy

On top of that high pace guys tend to be a tad more controlled against powerful punchers!

He would have to be retarded not to be somewhat nervous about it. Hopefully he's worked on his striking a shit ton.

His striking was good in that fight, he had Usman wobbled at one point but seemed not to notice or did not know how to capitalize. Usman surprisingly won the battle of cardio in that fight and in the last round took over, up until that point it was 2-2 and extremely close.

I wanted Colby to win the first one and was looking forward to it a lot. I was shocked there was zero wrestling from either side, both just wanted to hurt the other standing. If Usman wants to go for heavy shots like he did several time with Masvidal, Colby's good enough to avoid some, into takedown attempts. No idea if he'll manage it, but he's certainly capable.

Usman has been impressive, getting away from being a decision machine. He's also been staggered... anything's possible.
