Colby has no wins against current top 15

Has zero current top 15 wins and arguably should be champ right now
He's gonna hump masvidal to death anyway.
And if you don't think he'd do the same to almost the entire top 15 you're on crack

That's a bit of a stretch though dude is definitely top 10 P4P anyone who denies that is using emotion rather then their mind

Neither does Masvidal.

What a thrilling battle of elite high ranked UFC fighters!

The Welterweight elite are built on LWs and past prime big names.

RDA, Cowboy, Robbie, Tyron, Nate.

The division badly needs fresh matchups and maybe even a temporary moratorium on rematches. Time for the top 5-6 to stop ducking the rest of the division and give a chance for fresh contenders to prove their worth.
Atleast Masvidal has a W over #8 MW Till.

Not a fan by any stretch of the imagination, but Woodley and Maia are impressive wins, and arguably top 15 wins at the time. That being said, I hope Masvidal destroys him.

It's simple & clear. Masvidal vs Covington is a draw that is PPV worthy. That build up to that fight will generate so much.

At first I thought we were gonna possibly get Masvidal vs Leon & Colby vs Luque that was my guess, but now a days the UFC is all about the entertainment part fellas & ladies.

This has been said many times. But kinda goes to show how long guys can hang out near the top and how slowly they drop. Now I’m not saying Colby isn’t the #2 guy, but he’s basically defined by two close losses to the champ which doesn’t necessarily indicate being the second best imo. His best win is Woodley, who 3/4 other top 5 guys also have dominant wins over.

Just wanted to add for comparison, here’s everybody’s records against fellow ranked fighters.

Kamaru Usman - 6-0
Colby Covington - 0-2
Gilbert Burns - 1-1
Leon Edwards - 1-1
Vicente Luque - 2-2
Belal Muhammad - 1-1
Jorge Masvidal 0-3
Stephen Thompson - 3-2
Neil Magny 2-2
Sean Brady - 1-0
Michael Chiesa - 1-2
Khamzat Chimaev- 1-0
Geoff Neal- 2-2
Li Jingliang- 1-2
Santiago Ponzinibbio - 1-2
Shavkat Rakhmonov- 0-0

Who cares. The entire ranking system is botched anyway. He has the best results against Usman on two fights.

Yeah this division has good talent but the matchmaking is fucking atrocious

Wack

Take a look for your self. You can draw you own conclusion about what that means, but I find it weird that a fighter so highly touted doesn't have a single win against the current top 15. He's got a lot of work to do if he ever wants to fight for the title again.

Same thing goes for Leon Edwards

WW is such a screwed up division, just give Khamzat a titleshot

Colby has 0 wins over someone in their prime.

Jorge has beaten Chiesa but it was @ LW

and hes going to fight a LW striker whos almost 40..
Blame the UFC for ranking him so high. But this is also a money fight meant to sell high since it's a rivalry. Masvidal can win, but I doubt he's on Colby's level right now. If he does win, it's going to be after Colby has a dominant fight leading up to that.

Luque is the only one I see giving Colby any issues. Everyone else he beats.

Mas is 0-3 vs the current top 15 but top 10...

You forgot to add Maia to your list. Lol
