That's a really bad analogy. Sonnen was relentless with his wrestling and didn't have the striking of Colby, he also never got taken down by people from a division below. Completely different fighters. Izzy fights nothing like Jones either, he is a striker, not a great wrestler like Jones.

It sounds like you are seeing a "white wrestler from a division below moves up to fight a lanky black champion" and you compared the 2.

Colby and Sonnen are both relentless with their wrestling. Both also don't have any power and have crap stand up. Colby isn't that much better than Chael on the feet, they're pretty comparable.
