I sorta get the comparison between Lebron and Nate Robinson because they are both NBA players, trained to dunk basketballs and not trained in combat at all.

I don't get the comparison between a former UFC interim champion and what was a 1-0 Youtube sensation celebrity boxer (beating another celebrity).

I thought maybe Nate had a chance against Youtuber Jake Paul (though if I saw him train I would would known otherwise) because it was two random celebrities.

Of course, I wouldn't think Lebron has a chance in hell against an elite prime MMA fighter.

Idk, if you paid attention in the lead up, you should’ve known

I’m a Stan for anything combat sports so I’d been at least somewhat aware of Jake Paul’s training and especially in the lead up to this fight, you could tell he developed some skill. Nate was not ready. It doesn’t take a whole lot

I've actually watched some Jake Paul sparring videos last year and knew that he had some solid skills and actually excellent power. But I assumed (idiotic for me to assume) Nate also had some serious amateur training and wish there were videos of Nate sparring available to watch (or I should have spent time searching for them). Lost $5 betting on Nate at +200.

But no way in hell would I think Lebron would have a remote chance in hell against Covington. It'd be like someone thinking Covington could score one basket against Lebron in one-on-one basketball.

Never said he was a star, you said what he is doing isn't making him more popular. That was the whole reason for his shtick and it worked out great for him. You can be more popular and more hated simultaneously. He was on the verge of getting cut and then he took the heel angle in Brazil and called them all animals. A bunch of people got pissed which put eyes on him and later he became champion. Like him or hate him I don't think you can argue that his "bad guy" persona didn't make him more popular. The Trump thing I think is only partially a gimmick. I think he actually likes the Trump family but he knows they are so hated that he embraced that as well.

I don't get why people think Covington's schtick is done.

It takes no imagination to see how he can still provoke controversy. He just keeps going, keeps promoting the same stuff. Why would it matter if the Presidency changes? He puts people down for their views. Now he can't? Why? Is it a rule or something? I mean he does not have to think, there is even a template:just spout similar rhetoric to the resist movement.

But now his "guy" lost (thats the argument) so he has to stop. So his opinion is unpopular with a lot of people if his guy lost. Keep pushing it to produce more hate, simple.

Seems like people really want his schtick to die. Seems like it is working better than ever to me if his goal is to live rent free and incite hate.
 
Oh, look. The fascist is trying to draw some attention to himself by calling out a guy who is infinitely more accomplished and successful by challenging him to a fight, which LeBron has never expressed interest in or trained for.

Can you imagine LeBron challenging Colby to a basketball game? No, neither can I, coz LeBron doesn't need to waste his time with this fascist tool.
