Dude has made a name for himself and for all we know could be purposely pissing everyone off to troll himself into a title shot. Thoughts?

I saw his Reddit AMA from a few years ago and he seemed like a total nice guy. Seems like now he's embracing the heel role and make himself hated and get views

He's playing the heel and you're all a bunch of marks.

Even if you're talking about how bad his trash talk is, you're still talking about him.

And that's the bottom line, cause @FrontNakedChoke said so,

Worst trash talk or best troll?

<{fry}>

His trash talk is average at best, but few want to play the heel so he is getting lots of air time.

He is rustling Jimmies day and night.

People are losing sleep over his heel act <Lmaoo>

I hope Dos Anjos wrecks this guy. His fans are worse than conors

For all of his trash talk and getting his name out there....he still only has 28K twitter followers....which is nothing.

Must not be working.

He's not even in the same league as Necktats, Tito, Shamrock...

oMG bUt He'S pLaYiNg tHe H33L!!!!!

I laughed when he spoiled that Avengers movie. It was funny.

I find this aspect of american culture quite strange.
this "even if they hate me as long they're talking about me" mentality being the bottom line.
it seems to me that it's a never ending spiral aiming at saying the most offensive thing, being the worst asshole etc.
your (maybe not you personnally, Iyou get my point) objective is now to be the worst piece of shit of a person
strange society project, no wonder you guys are on the downside now and guys are losing their shit shooting random dudes in the streets or students in schools.

yeah, he's trolling but it's to the point to where it's cringeworthy. you can't possibly think he actually believes in what he is saying. It's just a tiring gimmick. Not even as good at cutting promos as wrestlers

the fight game does not = society.

In a business where people pay to see you fight, making people want to see you lose is a smart decision. At the end of the day, they still want to see you.

But you have to keep winning.

Once you lose, its all over <Goldie11>

yeah but this is a general trend in america, same in music, politics etc... and you seem to embrace it btw
but yes people are dumb, watching someone they don't like instead of ignoring them
I haven't watched the last 4 or 5 dolly mcnugget fights for example, because I realise his act is all aimed at one thing : having me (among others) watch

A lot of MMA fighters have really bad trash talk, dc and faber spring to mind

Nobody cares that he's playing the heel. Mcgregor plays the heel and he's undeniably hilarious and fries fools. Colby is just straight cringe and embarrassing, cant even get thru one of his interviews.

He's also boring as fuck to watch.

someone else writes his material which is fine, the guy has ties to WWE and pro wrestling as well. You can tell that's his angel, personally as a combat sports fan I find it horrible but if it works for him then all the power to him. I personally think he would benefit greatly from some acting lessons tho. Its so easy to tell hes on script it takes away from the heel persona.
