Oh come on, Colby blatantly ducked Khamzat. Dana said multiple times that was the fight to make, he said they were working on that fight and then all of a sudden Khamzat gets booked with Nate. If Colby was truly out with an injury there would have been no talk of getting him a fight. It was obvious that he was sitting out waiting to see how the WW title picture played out in hopes that a TS would fall into his lap. Credit to him his plan worked, but he definitely ducked Khamzat.

Dana also said that colby wanted to fight khamzat and accepted the fight, the masvidal assault threw it off. Dana said colby would have fought anyone.

Not that i believe ANYTHING that dana says.

Because the fight is marketable and he's marketable. I think him and Leon are a great tandem for fight promotion. The UK/US angle will be played heavily by Colby.

In addition, stylistically, this fight will be fun to watch.

I mean Colby claims he was never even offered the fight but I think we all know that’s a lie, it seemed pretty clear they were trying to make that fight and Colby was radio silent the whole time

Yeah but you know that is not what Dana said when asked about Colby vs Leon at the press conference let’s just NOT bring into account what Dana says because honestly all it does is contort the argument

Wouldn't be surprised if Dana is satisfied and doesnt feel he needs to risk Colby anymore to get that demo, suddenly puts out a statement in the next few weeks, "Colby has given us some issues with booking and scheduling, so we're just moving on from that since we can get a title shot booked immediately elsewhere."

Yeah Dana certainly isn’t the most honest person, but even still Khamzat said Colby turned down the fight, while Colby says he was never offered the fight. I guess it just comes down to what you believe but I personally have a very hard time believing that Colby wasn’t the reason that fight didn’t get made.

Let's not forget 37 year old Masvidal. RDA is the last guy he beat who isn't retired from the sport and that was 5 years ago.

Not exclusively though and pretty sure Maia and Woodley were both in the Top 5 and Lawler was in the Top 10.
