Crime Cohen pleads guilty, says he lied

He buckled from legal court torture, telling Mullers team what they want to hear so they stop.

“Person turns on person and now has bad things to say about that person” sounds like every high school girl whom friends become their enemies.
{<Scared}
Keep handwaving yo
You'll never create enough of a breeze to blow the stink of corruption away from that traitorous clown.

Sure. Whatever helps you sleep at night bud. The lawyer was exhausted from legal proceedings and dindu nuffin.

Nonsense. He's right, the system is rigged unless it exonerates Trump.
Prosecutors usually just make up whatever testimony they want and never corroborate any of it, and judges just let it slide because who gives a fuck, amirite

Switch out the names and dates and we could see something similar down the line. If I were Trump and I lose in 2020, I resign during the lame duck session with the understanding Pence pens the above.

Just imagine Trump being a judge.

Ok, let's beg- YOU'RE GUILTY!!!!

I'm the plaintiff, and this is small claims court.

It's worth noting that the pardon only governed the period during which Nixon was in office.

Well, we hardly know of the scale of his crimes, so it'd be hard to judge if his administration could be as corrupt as the Reagan admin. Reagan had 8 years, however.
It seems reasonable to speculate based upon what we have already seen.

Yeah, but I don't see a legal reason it couldn't encompass his whole life (lmao if a pardon included his birth date). Pence would certainly have to include dates outside Trump's term(s) in office.

why wait? If his kids get caught up he could give them pardons and then resign. Maybe even pardon himself.

He could pardon his kids, but it's debatable whether he could pardon himself. Much safer to have Pence do it. As for why wait, I don't think Trump is the type of person to resign unless impeachment and conviction are certain; which they aren't right now.

Pence was head of the transition team when they were warned about Flynn being compromised. They kept him there, with national security access, for eighteen days afterwards.
It's absurd to think Pence knew nothing about that.

I think Pence may have worries of his own

Would Pence want to basically end his political career to pardon Trump? I honestly don't know if Pence would pardon him.

It would be nice if it were that sinister, but I think it's just pure incompetence and ignorance. In a way it's worse.

The President of the United States is too stupid to know he was committing crimes.

He could have ended his career before he even became VP and lived a great life.

Want to talk about draining the swamp? Pence has been the Koch Bro's favorite pokemon in the senate for years.

I doubt it would really harm him if he was ok with staying in Indiana to rerun for governor or try for the Senate. If Trump is in imminent danger of going down, Pence is likely done on a national level as well, regardless of whether he pardons Trump or not.

And as much as I despise Trump, if Pence uses the same reasoning as Ford did while pardoning Nixon (that a trial of a former President would simply further divide the country and cause further harm) it has a degree of truth I think is hard to counter. I think there's a very high chance of Pence pardoning Trump for possible or real offences against the United States for a prolonged period of time; inclusive but not limited to his time in office.
