In old cowboy movies black hat meant the bad guy. In this context it means grey or evil with many characteristics and complicated motivations, like the dudes from House of Saddam series were bad guys, also protagonists and also not pure evil.

Yeah, but he still makes weird faces and exaggerated expressions in his thumbnails that makes him look like a fucking retard for Big Algorithm.

This is a big one for me. More than half the time, I'll click on some dudes goofy face if I'm legit interested in what the video is covering.

But the "content with an overly silly gimmick" thing is terrible, and I skip things all the time if the voice over sucks or the presenter is yucking it up with memes and bad jokes every 30 seconds.

I feel the big algorithm face thing you mentioned is just as off-putting

coffezillas videos are fun, but many of them are not convincing at all which is why authorities don't take much of anything he does seriously. its entertainment. i find he lacks evidence a lot of the time and jumps to conclusions. he's also suffering from a really bad case of TDS which affects his judgement. He's does expose some scammers, but he also misrepresents information to trick lower iq viewers to sound more convincing, and puts on a self-aggrandizing performance. I've seen some of his videos where he legit exposed scammers, and others where he flimsily flops through his weak evidence to try and convince people he's correct. At the end of the day, he relies on these videos to support himself and is always under constant pressure to make more. He's basically a private investigator who does mid tier investigations that likely wouldn't hold up in court.
