Wishing the son of a son of a plumber the best in his future endeavors. Always enjoyed his work and he did put everything into every chance he was given, bad gimmick or not.
 
Japan?

He'd do well in New Japan's LHW division.
 
They are letting enough talent go that someone very stupid could start up another fed.
 
I feel like this is a huge misstep on WWE's part if they are the ones wanting to end the relationship. I don't watch much anymore, but the polkadot ladder at Mania was money and the guy could work.

To be fair, Cody asked for his release and the WWE honored his request since he really wasn't being used. Come a few years from now, he'll most likely be back and happy.
 
Yeah IDK why WWE kept him with that star dust gimmick for what? like almost 3 years? He is a good worker and is a good looking dude, he could of been so much more.
 
Between Rhodes, Barrett and Sandow TNA could really make a come back if they could manage to sign and book these guys well. Add in Ryback and they could have something.

Instead of Jeff Hardy feuding with himself.

He probably wanted to keep that gimmick, and clearly put in some work on it changing the costume, coming up with all kinds of mannerisms and different ways to be involved and active in skits and with other characters. After a while though, it's clear that he's just not going anywhere higher than he is.

Still, he had the best celebrity-match I've ever seen in wrestling.

IMO Lack of talent or quality of matches isn't an issue. Shit TV and money are an issue which is why Samoa Joe went to NXT and AJ to Japan.

Barrett and Sandow are going to be making bank outside of WWE.
 
Have the man sign with ROH and do some crossover work with New Japan. Or LU while doing some Indy gigs on the side and dabbling some acting roles since he did say he may or may not be on that already.

At least he's got Eden to go home to so that makes him a winner regardless.
 
A surprise, but logical.
He was getting mugged off with that gimmick and he could have done something going back to himself.
But i think he can go away and be brilliant elsewhere.
A very good worker, good on the stick, and legendary blood running though him.
He to me has wrestling folklaw running though him, he is part of a the legacy that built it..

I actually kinda liked the stardust gimmic. I thought it was funny when he would sit in the crowd with the assention and taunt Neville.

Must be frustrating busting your ass for the WWE, changing gimmicks, trying to find something that works, and never move from the spot you started from.
