News Cody Garbrant details multiple health issues as reason for pullout

Pulmonary embolism or stroke is a real possibility. Had a Pt who fractured her hip, had surgery then suffered a stroke in the middle of the night. Scariest rapid response i every had. Poor lady was never the same again
Yeah, its scary AF. They happen so fast as well. Plus all the other health conditions that can happen with clots, I've heard some absolute horror stories.

The attending physician allowed her husband to come in and see her. He asked me if his wife was going to be back to normal again, and it was the hardest thing I ever had to do as a nurse to be honest with him.

Damn, that is horrible. Hope you are doing all right, nursing is one of the hardest professions mentally imo.

Vertigo is no joke

I remember him saying he started experiencing it after he got brutally KO'd in the ammys

I got in a wreck about a year ago. A branch went through the window and caught me on the jaw. I'm thinking another few mm and it slits my throat, but it jaaaaacked my ear up. The ear was fine, but until like two months ago I had really bad vertigo.

Could barely throw a left hook without being woozy and losing my balance quite bad.

Couldn't imagine trying to fight just with the vertigo, much less all the other issues he has.

Thanks for asking, I'm well although a bunch of people from my unit have gotten the Covey. Now that we have more understanding of it, I'm not as afraid of it like before. I don't want to take the vaccine as I think it's been rushed too fast

A guy I worked with years ago fresh out of college died from a blood clot he developed in his leg following ankle surgery. He was about 25.

My kickboxing coach has had it for about a year now, from a spinning back fist knock out. The medication and all that shit he's on, not being able to train, he's gained 12kgs.

I was initially skeptical of how fast the vaccine came out, however after looking into it it seems like they didn't rush any parts of it, the FDA simply approved the parts they would have been waiting on for 4-10 years much faster. The FDA simply got around to looking at it much faster than they normally would have.

“Usually they do take several years to make because the phases are planned independently. So if phase one is successful, then they’ll be the commencement of the next phase.

“But in this case, we have the resourcing and the funding to plan them concurrently.”

If you are still skeptical I would urge you to look into how they normally approve vaccines, and compare it to this time. They have gone through the normal processes, and I wouldn't be worried about a vaccine.

Hope all is well, but I really do wonder if it was more the product of a failed weight cut and he’s making excuses.

He really didn’t have any need to explain himself?

Blood clots are no joke. One killed my mother-in-law. It landed on her stomach and everything went downhill from there. I'd be more worried about that that just about anything if I was Cody.

Wishing him the good, safe and speedy recovery. Come back when you’re healthy Cody <3
