I went to the office with a horrible cold and a co-worker complained. But if I don't go to the office I don't get paid. I don't give a shit if she gets sick or other stupid coworkers. Money is money.

Do you go to work when you have a cold?

I work in a hospital. It is generally (gently) frowned upon in the sense like "Dude, why are you even here?"

We get sent home if there's enough staff and we come in feeling like shit. Since we're surrounded by sick people with compromised immune systems, it isn't good to show up sick yourself. If we're shortstaffed and we have to stay, we end up just throwing on masks.

I personally show up to work and throw on a mask.

I worked a really physical job for 8 years. Sickness was usually forgivable and understandable among my company, but for some reason injury’s weren't. The company always assumed the injury wasn’t that bad since it couldn’t be contagious.

If you'd wipe you're nose once in awhile, I wouldn't have to complain.

You said it yourself, the only reason people goto work sick is pure selfishness.

I only get sick when some dumbass comes to work an gives me it.

It is unacceptable to miss work. I used a sick day once in my life. I wasn't sick.

How did co-worker find out? You start an earlier thread?

How did management handle your coworkers complaint?

How closely do younwork with othwr people? Cubicles?

You could have worn a surgical face mask?

I do but I am not around people that much when I work.

A man who works at my company hasn't taken a sick day or vacation day in 35 years except when he has ballet performances. It's simultaneously a little admirable and...a little gay.

You need to flip that shit around and make sure she looks like the asshole. Call a meeting and tell everyone you have aids

Falls on your companies sick time policy. But going in under the weather, people do that shit all the time.

Probably sick and tired of your bullshit vegerterian smugness

hell no. i'm looking for any reason to not go into work, and since i deal with lots of people on a daily basis, it's not frowned upon.
that being said, i rarely get sick.

If it isn't health/food/school teacher type job , I don't see what the problem is going with a cold. Unless you're the type who is distracting by coughing your lungs out, blowing your nose like a foghorn and letting the world know how close to death you are every 5 seconds...if it's like that , you should have stayed home.

She doesn't want to get sick, you self centered fucking piece of dog shit

tell your coworker to fuck off, then go backwash into his water bottle when he leaves the room.

Am I the only one who thinks this is insane?
