CNN Panel Calls Kanye West a "Token Negro" For Supporting Trump.

Mine will always be the Gulf War

This is amazing. Wow. LOL, the guy putting on the gas mask arbitrarily, the dude with the random helmet he put on. This is gold.

The 'siren' in the background. This is like an 80's film that sucks, but it's so bad it's good.

She is actually a man, and she murdered Joan Rivers to cover it up. (Alex Jones)

She is an “ape in heels.” (Pamela Ramsey Taylor, director of Clay County Development Corp., Clay, W.Va., who later swore she was not racist.)

She has a “gorilla face.” (Patrick Rushing, mayor of Airway Heights, Wash.)

She is a “poor gorilla” who “needs to focus on getting a total makeover (especially the hair), instead of planning vacations.” (Georgia schoolteacher Jane Wood Allen)

Equating First Lady Michelle Obama with “someone from the cast of ‘Planet of the Apes.‘” Rodner Figueroa

Then there was this https://www.diversityinc.com/news/malia-obama-fox-news

Especially the "ape quotes" were defended on here by the right wingers as totally not being racist, the same people freaking out in this thread.

why are black people always expected to think one way and vote one way, and if you dont you are a sell out/uncle tom/ token, etc?

They also give free passes for people on the left when they do something against their own 'rules'. So much hypocrisy from the corporate media and their drones.

Yep. They're completely full of shit and hypocritical. Look at this video of Antifa calling a black cop the N Word. All the left cares about is "their side" winning.

pretty much.

Its outrageous because its true.

Just look at trumps power circle. Kanye is a prop...too obvious.

They just want to divide America and make Republicans the part of just White men

That is what all this radical feminism about. Notice how feminists always attack White males?

Here is the thing. Controversy sells. News media has been about this for along time now, and it is why smart people don't trust the media anymore.

If you don't like it, completely boycott it.

I am a news junky, and yet you will never find cable news on my TV.

I dont care who Kanye supports. He has the right to support who he wants. My concern is how unstable he is. SOME Trump supporters try to make out that Kanye is really a genius but the truth is they don't give a F about Kanye. They just like how this could bring in more voters for Trump.

The tranny stuff isn't necessarily a slur. She is s very masculine woman.

The ape stuff has always been confusing to me. Forest Griffin is white and look very apelike. I l've never seen how it's some uniwuely anti-black slur to point out that certain people, regardless of race, resemble our closet animal relative.

But then I live in Canada and have for most of my life, so maybe in the US that is seen as a uniquely anti-blacl slur.

It seems a little self involved for people to claim that as some forbidden insult to ke as there are plenty of white, asian and middle eastern people who have apelike characteristics ti their faces.

It's not ao kuch a racial slur as an occassionally accurate conparison.

Using the term "plantation" when it comes to Black democrats is where the problem comes in. That is drawing on the same slavery imagery as "uncle tom" is. In one case, you're calling black people too stupid to realize they are still acting as slaves. In the other, you're saying that a black person is a traitor to his people.

Both of those things are insulting. There's really no way to call one racist, and the other not racist. They are either racist phrases, or they are not.

The "democrat plantation" is only used for black people, not people of any race. The implication is that they are still being treated as slaves because they are "brainwashed" by Democrats, which also obviously puts their intelligence into question.

I'm not just guessing here. I've had this conversation with black Democrats, and when conservatives use the old, "You're on the plantation" phrase, they are offended by it. As they should be, since it's a messed up thing to say. It is like telling somebody they are too stupid to know what is best for them, and they are still a slave because of it.

to be honest jumped into the thread after watching the video, without reading most of the posts. I misread your post and thought you and the other poster said "democratic platform". As in the democratic message, politicians and various news outlets.

Eitherway, that pundit was way out of line and I hope they do not bring him back. And Don Lemon is a smug piece of shit

Yeah that was very close to the defense they used back then as well. Still as idiotic today as it was then.

Yeah I agree the panel was way out of line, I said that from the start. The other poster in here was just blatantly ignoring what I had said and making stuff up.

Don Lemon actually doubled down later that night I believe and called Kanye's White House meeting a minstrel show. I think he may be on his way out, and he probably believes he has another job lined up. He's certainly pushing the limits. We'll see him on MSNBC in the Spring.

How so? Some people look like turtles. Is that racist too?

I could see it being racist if someone said 'all black people look like apes' or something like that.

I do wonder why it was Don who said it.

Like he didnt just get done pulling a kanye during 2016 and 2017.

He helped the "what about black on black crime" rhetoric become popular, when INITIALLY all BLM asked for was accountability.

So yall are really going to ignore my Stacey Dash comment?

If she wasnt just a token negro, she would still be at Fox News.

Raven Symone?thats another one that was used for a lil bit and thrown away.

Questions are not 'rhetoric'.

It's a perfectly valid question to ask why a group called 'black lives matter' has been utterly silent on black on black crime which kills thousands of times as many black people as the police do.

He was still acting like a tom.

The issue at hand was police accountability, but ol Manchurian Candidate over there switched it up.

When Black Guy 1 shoots black guy 2, more often than not Black Guy 1 goes to jail. That is accountability.

When Officer Joe Snuffy shoots Unarmed Black Guy all he has to say was "i feared for my life" that aint accountability.

Yall used Tom- I mean Don and now he is trying to get his spot back at the BBQ.

That's not true at all though. The black community's habit of refusing to cooperate with police is one factor in why black on black murders have a higher unsolved rate than others.
