CM Punk: "What I'm doing is creating jobs"

The cut man, the guy who wipes up the blood, the paramedics, the scout to find a photographer with one MMA fight to go against his first opponent, the P.R. people to spin this crap, etc. Hmm...maybe he's right?
100

You know Punks getting a sweet contract though, good on you Brooks!!!!

Actually what you're doing is taking jobs from people who are far more qualified than you.

Someone really needs to educate me on this guy because he looks like a crack head and judging by this latest quote he's not too smart, I don't understand why he's so popular he warrants a spot in the UFC then again I don't see the appeal in grown men covered in oil wearing underwear play fighting.
Don't be stupid, he's not taking anyone's job. If the UFC wants any fighter, they can go get them, for the most part. There isn't any roster limits for the amount of fighters the UFC can have. On a side note, he's a very smart guy. He created his wrestling persona in his own, translated that into making millions. Seems pretty smart to me.

Wwe is for kids. I grew up watching but grew out of it by 7th grade. I dont think its supposed to appeal to adults.

Creating jobs indirectly, right? Like buying a coffee helps create demand for the barista?

this guy's always so up his own ass. apparently he left the WWE because he felt disrespected that they were giving the big bucks and spotlight to big-name guys who show up once a while, or to non-wrestlers, instead of rewarding the guys that put in the sweat and tears.

so obviously he signed with the UFC to become aim walking contradiction.

also heard that he's an a'hole with fans when they try to approach him for pictures or autographs.

They say the Octagon is MMA's ultimate proving ground immediately before 0-0 Mike Jackson and 1-0 Micky Gall fight for the right to fight 0-0 sports entertainer CM Punk... Give me a break.

He was one of the most known wrestlers of all time, aka famous. Famous people walk into famous things quite easily. You refer to it as play fighting? So why not give the guy some credit especially at his age that he's swapped this "play fighting" for ufc? And a crackhead lol! If you knew anything about the guy he's never touched a drug in his life. Hence drug free tat! He's winding people up like you with these comments at interviews and it's hilarious. You mad bro? Your bros mad bro?

He's taking up a roster spot, he'll be on a PPV which he has no business being on because he has no merit as a pro fighter.

And because of him two other fighters who have no business being in the UFC are also in the UFC, and one of them will also take that spot on PPV which could go to far more deserving fighters. The money the UFC is spending on him(I highly doubt he'll make the introductory 10k) and his opponent could be used for giving fighters who have actually proved they can compete. What's going to happen to the guy he fights? Is the UFC gonna sign some more amateurs to fight?

So he's taking a PPV spot, a roster spot and money which he hasn't earned, his 'wrestling persona' doesn't mean jack shit in MMA. The sooner this shit is over the better, Brock at least took a fight before coming in and had a collegiate wrestling background, James Toney was a decorated boxer and pretty good back in the day.

This dude? Evidently all he has is a 'wrestling persona' because no one knows of any actual fighting credentials.

Actually I'm not mad at all, because of him I'll get to save 65 bucks when his fight rolls around because I'm certainly not going to pay to see a 0-0 gay porn actor attempt to fight MMA.

They should probably give Jackson to punk, might be a better match up.

He quit wrasslin before he thought about not fighting in the UFC

That's how it works. He has to quit first. He could still probably wrestling entertain for millions but he chose to compete in real combat. & him not fighting means he is respecting the game and putting in the time. I know its easy to just talk trash about a wrestling entertainer, but he deserves some respect for choosing real combat lower pay over wrestling entertainment and millions, imho.

Mickey Gall looks like he has what it takes to starch a rank amateur like CM Punk, like Punk hasn't even got a punchers chance here.

The ufc pick the card they want, the fighters they want. Whoever gets the spots then it's there decision. Who gives a shit orless your one of these guys bitch's waiting on the cheque.

He's not taking anyone's spot on the ppv that people would rather see fight. Whoever would be there instead of C.M. Punk, wouldn't draw anywhere what he's going to draw. So, stop the whining, and learn the business of making money.

Nope. The UFC can sign as many people as they want, there's no roster limit. That said, Gall and Jackson aren't fighting unless he's signed. If anything, though, they are the ones taking the jobs from the more qualified. You could blame him as the cause for that, though.

CM punk would of been a bigger draw if they just kept it 100% hush hush and announced a fight after he trained for 2-3 years.
