He jumped up on to MJ like a reverse backpack.

I truly believe he was going for a flying armbar, or possibly a flying gogoplata.

Brilliant technician

Trying not to feed the troll here but I give Punk credit for stepping in there as a blue belt. Yeah I know he made a ton of money in the process but you still have to give the man credit for stepping in there.

That guy is NOT a bluebelt. He looked like someone who'd been training for a week.

No you certainly do not.

If I decided I wanted to fly an aircraft tomorrow, but didn't take the requisite time to earn a pilots license, no one would call me courageous.

It is the height of delusion and sheer egomania that someone with no combat training thought they could just 'become' a professional fighter by showing up.

Mike Jackson isn't high enough caliber to make it on the regional MMA circuit, let alone the UFC, it is truly an embarrassment that he was signed. The fact that Phil Brooks is so poorly trained he looked helpless against a journalist with virtually no experience highlights the delusion.

Brooks had as much business cage fighting last night as he does doing any dangerous job he's completely unskilled at. It's flat out stupidity and ego driven fantasy.

As soon as the final bell rang, it looked like Jackson said to punk "you still think i'm a can?" Anyone else think so? That's really what it looked like to me.

Great post.

He latched on that man like a sloth. Felt sorry for Punk.

I was more impressed with how composed MJ was....

Jesus. MJ looked so good that he look like he was carrying Punk

He may have done better if didn't have that stupid hair flopping in front of his eyes.

Good point ts, he clearly could have submitted Jackson at any point of that fight, but wanted to bang bro. He's like an Andy Wang for the Fox generation. Or perhaps a BJ Penn 2.0. True warrior.

All I can do is laugh about it now especially after Dana made the comment to Megan Olivi that he should have put the CM Punk fight on the early prelims and mentioned something about hindsight. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
