This song pisses me off- especially Drake's lyrics.

I'm going to respond to most of his lyrics one line at a time.

The premise is he's after a girl who's just trying to do her fucking job and all he wants to do is ruin her life with his creepiness

Here's the lyrics with my responses underneath:

"You need to get done, done, done, done at work, come over"

Me: Man, cool off - back off, let her finish her fucking shift. Are you trying to get her fired? She will get done from work when she's done from work, asshole

---

"We just need to slow the motion"

Me: Then let her finish her fucking shift! She needs this job more than she needs you!

---

"Don't give that away to no one"

Me: Give what away to who? SHE'S AT WORK!!! Trying to do her fuckin JOB. Remember jobs?

---

"When I see potential I just gotta see it through"

Me: You're a fuckin stalker

---

"If you had a twin, I would still choose you"

Me: What in the sweet fuck was that line? Is that suppose to be a compliment? Is that suppose to turn her on knowing you wouldn't fuck her identical twin? Sociopath much? Seriously try that pickup line on anyone and see how it works in the real world. She won't run away from you fast enough.

---

"I don't wanna rush into it, if it's too soon"

Me: Her fucking shift still hasn't ended yet!!!

---

"But I know you need to get done, done, done, done"

Me: You need to get arrested

---

"Sorry if I'm way less friendly
I got n****s tryna end me, oh"

Me: You're being mean to the girl you're stalking at her work because people are trying to END you? What in the fuck! You're such a piece of shit that people are trying to END you and yet you're trying to get this innocent girl involved in your hemisphere of shit?!?! RUN RIHANNA RUN!!!

---

"How many more shots until you're rollin'?"

Me: ARE YOU TRYING TO GET HER INTOXICATED AT HER WORK!?!?! SOMEBODY NEEDS TO STOP THIS!!!!

---

"We just need a face to face"

Me: Seriously Rhianna - lock the office door and call the cops!! SOMEBODY NEEDS TO STOP THIS MAN!!!!

---

Anyone else find this song unsettling?

Drake is a paradoxical asshole. Hurry up and bang me but take it slow...and lose your job. What a douche.

Thanks for calling him out, Clippy. I'll send an email to his people.

Yall can say whatever but Drake is talented. He does have wack joints and guest verses on clearly more "pop" tracks that are likely to hit the charts cause theyre memorable for being trash? or catchy I dunno.

But he does hav some great works imo. He's not gonna be a Kanye, but he'll go down as the most dominant male artist since Lil wayne and he's having a near 10 year run. Damn.

calling like it is!

Youre opinion is moot.

Youve never listened to anything other than there big singles and theyre trash?

Kanye is the single most influential artist of last decade aswell as this one.

Kanye also has the best discography of any artists since the 2000s.

"Herp derp, they shit bro". Proceed to listen to your metal without assuming other genres are shit because you dont like em.

EDIT: Spelling, mobile sucks

I disagree, Kanye writes songs about Dior bags, if he is the most influential artist of the last decade than the last decade was a loss. Gangsta Rap/Hip Hob became one big joke with "artists" battling out who had more watches and money, the time of the beat or lyrics that talked about real struggles are dead.

Also outside US Kanye is basically unknown.

Im from the Uk.......{<jordan}

Dude you dont understand he's not influencing just hiphop but artists from other genres like RnB etc.

https://www.rte.ie/entertainment/2014/0116/498200-kanyes-yeezus-album-inspired-kasabian/

Bunch of other examples.

Lol at the nitpicking, he also raps about other shit like poverty, his mother etc. But you have to nitpick to ft your shitty argument.<Kobe213>

South America has no clue on who is Kayne, most of Europe too. He is more known for marrying some girl than anything. You really have no scope in the history of music to think he influences something worth mentioning.

But he does reflect the current generation who lives life through social media more than anything

Just do yourself a favor go listen to some 90s Hiphop, like Tribe Called Quest, there is no way to listen to Kanye West and think his "music" is any good.

Fucking lol, the gatekeeping is real.

Dont come at me thinking just because you name dropped ATCQ means you know shit. I got into hiphop because of NWA etc.

You have no scope of hip hop history. Name a more influential album than Colledge dropout in the last 20 years.

Name a more influential album than 808's and Heartbreak in the last decade.

Youre the type of nerd who listened to a bit of tupac and dismiss any other work after the 90's because its not "real music". Fucking lol. These white kids always make me laugh. They think they know true stuggle because they listen to a bit of Tupac and gatekeep on the net whilst not having listened to anything other than Eminem and metal.

Dismiss Kanye as being "trash". You just reflect the majority of white kids who know 0 about hiphop, masquerading that you know anything by name dropping 90s artists.

You are just as trashy as Kanye West, congrats. I´m not dropping names, I grew up in 80/90 that was the little I listened to RAP/HH and was never into Tupac. You can bring the word influential all you like but it won´t make Kanye influential.

I just exposed this little man. Fucking lol. Why is he talking about hip hop history when he hasnt even got any knowledge about the actual genre.

Just because you deny knaye's influnece doesnt mean its not real. Calling someone trash when you havent listened to their works other than the stuff thats meant to sell and judging em for that is also laughable. Fix up, for a guy who I presume is in his 40s, youre a damn joke. Stop acting like you know anything about something you clearly dont know shit about.

Now go back to listening to Katy perry and enjoying Taylor swift albums in secret whilst you act like a metal head and gatekeep on the net.

1. Dmxs first three albums. Eminem's first three albums. 50 cents first album. The blueprint. Stillmatic. Stankonia.

2. Good Kid Maad city. Forest Hills Drive.

Influential is a weird word for this arguement.

1. Wrong but 50s was really influential. Loads of gangster rappers started popping up.
2. Wrong. Fucking lol. You couldnt be more wrong if you tried

Congrats on listening your favorite albums for the bottom two. GKMC is a solid album and FHD is a pretty good album too though.

Hell Kanye's melodic and soulfoul type of hiphop took over from 50's gangster rap type stuff. Remember that big 50 vs Kanye marketing thing and Kanye outsold him etc. Ever since then gangster rap has declined.

Influential is a weird word for this argument? The dude dismissed his music. Lol probably the dudes he listens to are influenced by Kanye. Anyone ho denies Knaye's influence instantly proves the little knowledge they have of hiphop.

808's got us Drake, Cudi, Travis. Prominent artists in todays' hiphop, Drake dominates the charts, Cudi influences the newer type of melodic type mumble rappers etc like the guys similar to Uzi etc.

Hell Kanye is a big influence on Kendrick and Joe Cole.
