Pav is an unknown whos never even been on PPV, he just fought for free.

Its a great opportunity to prove himself against a recent champ and maybe put his name on the map

And if he cant get past Gane, he's not even in the discussion of going after gold.

With that said Gane vs Pav is a fucking fantastic fight, extremely fan friendly and makes perfect sense since Pav is literally unknown to the casual viewer. This fight has fireworks written all over it and I’m definitely picking Gane for the win on this, he is the more dynamic versatile striker. He will finish the plodding Russian by round 3.

He's unknown after wiping out Lewis on PPV, and also beating Tuivasa and Blades (in a Fight Night main event) in first round KOs?

Also the fight just doesn't make sense. Gane wins and you take out an already deserving title contender. And who wants to see Jones Vs Gane 2 lol.

I think they can make this match. The people got Jailton as backup to dethrone Jones. I suspect Aspinall might be up next too.

Thats why his last fight was free.

Thats how competition works, the losing fighter gets knocked out of contention.

I like this fight, and I hope (and think he would) Pav wins. Jones beats Stipe and then steamrolls Pav as well, i truly believe this.
 
Gane should have to fight and beat a guy like Spivac or Blaydes before being considered a top contender again

If he beats Pavlovich, he would have deserved it, wouldn't he? Pavlovich is the #1 challenger by popular demand, and beating the #1 challenger makes you the #1 challenger.
 
Why? He just got embarrassed, Pav is in line for a title shot.

Gane is 1-2 in his last 3 and both losses he was exposed as someone who can’t grapple, he doesn’t need a contender fight he needs a build back
