Imagine if Cyril somehow manages to take him down and submit him
This is HW. The HW division has always been ruled by people who haven't fought in forever. Stipe is more deserving than any other candidate. No one else has his feats.
Doesn't matter. He lost his last fight.Stipe hasn't had an unavenged loss in like a decade.
Doesn't matter. He lost his last fight.
And how many fights did that guy have to win before facing Stipe again? To the champ who he'd previously beaten 5-0.

So then Stipe should follow Francis to PFL.Stipe would be easier to earn a rematch with Francis because it's 1-1.
If Jones was as confident as you are, he would have already accepted Pav's callout.
Against an unkown? For defending the belt like a champion usually does.

It's a terrible fight for the UFC to make. If Gane wins, they'll derail Pavlovich with no benefit gained, as Gane will still be known as the guy with zero defence against wrestlers. Winning the fight does very little to change the perception of Gane and Gane winning it destroys the credibility of the division.
Pavlovich on the other hand has already built himself up as the #1 challenger with five consecutive 1st round KOs and proved himself against a wrestler too. The fight is simply large risk, little benefit in every way.
Yes because that unknown happens to be on a 6 fight winning streak.Against an unkown?
But he was not guaranteed a title shot. So how is he waiting for something that was never guaranteed?Feel about what? Pav being more eligible for the belt than Stipe is completely factual.

It's not guaranteed because Jones is adamant that he only wants to fight Stipe which is why I'm saying that Jones is ducking Pav.But he was not guaranteed a title shot. So how is he waiting for something that was never guaranteed?
And that still makes him more eligible than Stipe who got knocked out in his last fight.Against who though? Three of those matter. And his best win is Blaydes, who has been knocked out by fighters who are not elite like Derrick Lewis.
Doesn't matter. He lost his last fight.
There are people who have gotten rematches after being knocked out. So what standard are you going by?And that still makes him more eligible than Stipe who got knocked out in his last fight.
