Media Ciryl Gane explains why he's ducking Curtis Blaydes

It’s weird that Gane doesn’t want to answer those questions too and is positioning for another ts, he literally just fought for the belt the Blaydes fight makes a lot of sense rn.

In his position, would you angle for a title shot or angle for a fight with Curtis Blaydes?

well, hello from France.

Gane is a very honest person in his answers and sometimes even candid.

but what he wanted to say, and has said many times now, is really simple: he knows that for his career and for the money, it's better to fight a big name. and blaydes isn't one of them. That's just it, and i think people use gane honesty and broken english to try to start some bad buzz.

the "he's dangerous" thing was more to show respect to blaydes than anything.

if blaydes would give him money and a clear path to a title shot, no one can doubt he would be the first to be happy with this fight. and it's not like the two guys he said he would prefer to fight (miocic and jones) are known for being bad on the ground.

Blaydes to quiet the haters. I mean he’d have to fight Blaydes eventually given the trajectory Blaydes is currently on, but I can see why he’d want to delay it as long as possible.

If he got controlled on the mat by Francis just imagine what Blaydes would do (and no I don't think Gane has improved much in that department since then)
If Blaydes got slept by Black Beast imagine what Gane would do.

Works both ways.

I think you're right, he's just being honest, Blaydes is a bad fight for him right now and since he's not standing in his way for the belt, it's not necessary so why should he? Old Stipe is a much better fight and Jones is a gimme.

Well, at least he's honest about it I guess. Probably wants to work on that wrestling as long as he can before they meet.
