Church arson suspect captured after returning to scene looking for his pants

Officers caught up to a suspect who had forced his way into a church and burned things when the man returned to the scene and kicked at the front door, asking for the pants he had left in the bell tower back, Eugene Police said.

An employee of the church found the door to the bell tower propped open. Duque exited the door in a robe, swearing at the employee, police said.

The suspect walked away on Royal Avenue, but returned a short time later. He was kicking at the front door of the church and asking for his pants when police arrived.

The suspect always returns to the scene of the crime... to fetch his pants from the bell tower.
