And then he gets all butt hurt telling us to watch them lol, i wanna see some gifs of chuck taking seriousl flush shots multiple times in a fight to show his chin was great. All i knew is he had good recovery and rarely took damage in his prime he used those long arms and circled guys and countered them and avoided damage compared to other fighters

But on a serious note, to those of you who remember, Chuck Liddell was known as having one of the hardest chins in mma back in the day. I mean the guy took absolute bombs from guys like Rampage, Mezger, Belfort, Overeem, etc and wouldnt look fazed at all.

Unfortunately his style wasnt meant to last long term. Guys like Couture could fight at a more elite level at a later age because of the way he fought.

I really wish Chuck would just let it go. He's still up 2-1 against Tito when it mattered. Hes accomplished alot in this sport. Theres so many other things that he can do.

He was easily my favourite mma fighter back in the day, Bj next.

I didn't watch the Ortiz fight. It's sad seeing your idols when they are finished.

Roy Jones was similar with boxing. Thankfully he's quit.

Well I cant say it was a matter of evolution in MMA since they both are from the same time period but its very clear that youth and staying active plays a huge part. Everyone wants to compare their old self to Randy Couture "if he could do it I can do it" well, style plays a part there wrestlers like Randy and Tito have a longer active career. You are a striker and you take too many knockouts you will not last long. Tito obviously won because he was younger, faster, and active the past few years.
Now does post USADA Chuck Liddell make a difference as well? Wouldnt be fair to assume he was taking any PED's in his prime though most were and maybe not even on purpose. The fight was what we all expected.

Yup that is one of the most ridiculously impressive displays of toughness I've ever seen. Chuck ate clean overhands from Rampage right on the chin and didn't go down for most of them. Not to mention the fight ending overhand he ate from Mezger. Prime Chuck had one of the GOAT chins.

He was a really good fighter, but nothing close to being the best. Never was the best in his division at any time imo. Once Pride came over we saw this...

Chuck was glorified bc he had a mowhawk, tattoos, American and was willing to bang. The truth is tho, he fought a lot of grapplers that couldn't take him down and poked a lot of other guys in the eye.

Poked randy, Tito, Horn, veron White, randleman....I know he knocked them out after..but we would always make threads after his fights abt Chuck poking guys. He was always overrated.

Anyone that actually watched and doesn't just look at fight fighter knows this.
