That's going to the plot of the next terminator movie. Prime Arnold is going to come out of the time bubble sneezing on everyone, touching door handles, licking eating utensils and placing them back in the drawer, etc. systematically spreading the virus to everyone. The guy the resistance sends back will be kinda like the T-1000 from Terminator 2, except he'll be made out of Purell hand sanitizer.

It's China. It could easily be 10,000 people or more instead of 172 reported. When was the last time China shut down 4 cities for quarantine. That didn't even happen with SARS.

If it takes 2 weeks for symptoms to appear, then people who think they are healthy are actually not and helping to spread the virus. Humans have had several disasters which killed off a large amount of people. The Spanish Flu in 1920 killed between 20-100 million people worldwide. Also, while this might have originated because of eating bats or snakes or whatever it could be something the government was exploring that accidentally got leaked out. If this virus isn't natural and is man-made that is even more terrifying.

170 people die every few minutes don’t they? This virus doesn’t seem any worse than anything

According to national statistics bureau, about 890 million people died in a year. So in average, there are 2.4 million people die in China each day.

It's more like 1,666 people die every minute in China. I'm surprised they even notice 170 in a few weeks.
