This is a horrible fight for Weidman IMO. While I'd prefer he hang up the gloves. I'd rather he fight someone like Stoltfus or GM3 who aren't as likely to go ham on the legs. Otherwise he can try 205 again and we see him fight someone like Gustafsson or OSP.

This and the Bo Nickal fight both stink. In retrospect, a better round of matchmaking at MW might've looked like this:

Chris Weidman vs Cody Brundage; an absolutely necessary tune-up fight against one of the worst MWs on the roster.

Bo Nickal Vs Jacob Malkoun; Instead of throwing Nickal another obvious softball, give him a modest step-up in Malkoun, who is a respectable grappler but likely outclassed everywhere by Nickal.

Iron Turtle vs Andre Petroski; 4 and 5-fight respective streaks snapped in their last bout. They've both proven they belong in the UFC by now, and this one will get them right back in the hunt for the rankings.

Bruno Silva--Chidi Njokuani; a potential just-bleed classic from two talented fighters fallen on some bad streaks. Maybe Bruno wilts Chidi, maybe Chidi zaps Bruno. Who knows?
