Yep. I don't want to go on as if I really know the guy, but a friend of mine used to date a guy who trained with him I'm Hawaii for years, and from all I've heard, it didn't sound as though he was living the healthiest life.

Least he's working in the field he loves. Man has some troubled times. Pre-UFC, during and post. I remember being under the assumption, for what it's with that I knew; that he was doing okay. After his fight life while running his gym and then(iirc) he relapsed hard or got pinched for something.

Just hope the man's in a good place, on all levell.

Heard Leben doing an interview years back. He was talking about how he'd made a lot of money in the UFC. Was young, dumb, didnt think it would end and blew through it all. Partying ,drinking, giving money to family and friends, loans to people he never got back. By the time go straightened around his career was almost over.

Did say that he'd bought and owned his house outright so he had that. Interestingly he never complained about compensation from the UFC, said they paid him well and it was on him. Even said Dana helped him get into rehab a couple of times and tried to talk sense into him about his spending habits. Do think Dana always like Chris and treated him well being on TUF 1 .

It's a cautionary tale we've heard hundreds of times with fighters ,well all sorts of athletes.

Was always a fan of Leben, even before TUF. Wanted him to win the show. Hope he is happy and he has or finds something that makes him happy that financially works.
