Honestly, and I watch a lot of MMA, I can't remember a Ref stopping a fight because of a clash of heads and letting both fighters take as long as they like to recover...

Groin strikes... All the time

Eye pokes.... The 5 minute thing I don't believe applies here, but the ref usually calls in a Doctor so the fouled fighter gets a little extra time.

Head clashes (accidental).... Just never have seen the fight stopped for one that I can remember. The Ref will sometimes indicate that he saw a cut come from one, but that's about it.

I don't think I have seen one stopped for that reason either.

I see it as an accident, and both guys do take the hit, unlike a eyepoke, or groin shot.

Cris is frustrating. One of the best boxers in the UFC but has a hard time getting close.
