No, it’s not immature logic, it’s using called using your brain. Theres a reason why the UFC is still around, while every other org failed. It’s not a charity, no person in the right mind will sign a fighter like Chris Barnett and pay him 100k off the bat.

Barnett has fought in Vegas and Abu Dhabi most of his career barring one bout in New York the highest, Vegas is a tax friendly state and Abu Dhabi he retains all his income.

If you’re paying your manager 15-20% relative to your income, you’re an idiot and if you are, they better be worth it.

Again, depending on location of said bout. More than likely he takes home 60-75, hypothetically if his income is 100k his last 2 bouts were in Abu Dhabi so he took home 200l

I agree fighters should get paid more, but the cream will always rise to top and they are the ones that get paid well, as they should. Harsh reality is not all fighters will ever reach that status, be it they’re not that good to get there, Barnett is one of them, if he wants to continue MMA thats on him, imo its better he puts his time and energy into worth while career minus the head trauma.

What I do know there is a high likelihood he takes home less than 50% of his reported income which is normal and I do know even if he sniffed 6 figures reported income it is at the extreme low end. I also can ascertain he is not a high volume fighter so even if he took home 50-60k you thinking that’s some high number for a guy has a decent fanbase in the biggest fighting organization is crazy. There are probably mid level pro bowlers bringing home more

Now this is what I find funny, why is it when fighters like Cormier, Bispings, Dillawshaw, the likes say they get paid more than what is released to the public, suddenly they are shills, full of shit, exaggerating. People complaining about fight bonuses, yet Dillashaw from his own mouth said he’s gotten bonuses off every fights he’s had in the UFC aside from the Soto bout, without having officially gotten the of night bonus that is released. But suddenly when fighters who are mediocre talk about their pay, it’s gospel and reflects all the fighters.

I can’t believe you still haven’t figured out that the UFC being the biggest fighting organization doesnt mean that every fighter who gets in gets six figures, in your words believing they absolutely should, no.

The UFC is essentially the org to prove you’re the best fighter, which in turn comes higher pay, as it should be. when Dana says it’s a opportunity, that’s exactly what it is, there is no certainty, only opportunity. The UFC is run like a business not some charity like Scott Coker’s Bellator. They’re the only org that is consistently putting on events, creating countless millionaires in the process, even to mid level fighters like the Hollands, Bobby Greens, Angela Hills, etc.

Sure, there is pro bowlers who make more, there is also businessmen who make more, computer engineers, physicist, doctors, women and men on OnlyFans whats your point? If you want to get paid more, maybe should’ve chosen another craft, because MMA is not easy to get to the top of podium, fighters know this and yet somehow fighters are still signing with the UFC, kinda weird dont you think? There’s is a reason why a fighters union in MMA doesnt exist, it’s because the actual great fighters who put in the work, sacrificed, and got to the top dont want some mediocre fighter getting the same pay as them for less than half of their effort in it, you see it all the time in trade and craft unions, not all journeyman’s are the same.
