Remember this book? For those who are too young to know this book, CYOA is a book that gives you different options on how the story ends, depending on your choices.

How about we make a game similar to it here at the Mayberry Lounge? Rules are simple. I start, create a scenario, and give two options. The next poster will choose, create a scenario related to his choice, and gives a couple more options for the next poster, and the same shit goes on until we have created an interesting novel.

I'll start.

It was 3:16 am, and John Smith was awaken with a loud thud downstairs. Smith took his gun in one of his drawers beside the bed and wanted to check it out, but his wife was still asleep and worried that someone might sneak in from the window and take his wife hostage.

a) Smith goes out of the bedroom anyway and check downstairs for what the noise was about.
b) Smith stays inside the room, and tries to get back to sleep.

I tried this with MMA Quest and wound up writing 30 pages for 10 player actions, every time players chose any action whatsoever

Luckily this format has a single protagonist instead of User Players, so it has a solid shot.

The four 'Freeway Warrior' books were undoubtedly the best.

Janet slips out the backdoor, hiding her taser behind her back. She silently creeps around the house to get a look at the person at the front door. It doesn't sound like Magnus, because it isn't Magnus. In fact, he has a gun pointed at the eyehole.

The man's car is running in the driveway, with no passengers.

Does Janet:

A) Sneak up and tase the man at the front door?
B) Jump into the car and take off?
C) Quietly go to a neighbor's house and ask for help.
