Aldo is an experienced fighter. No experienced fighter would risk throwing away their W after taking their opponents back and securing the body triangle. If he did people would be saying how bad Aldo's fight IQ is.

Aldo hung on after beating Chito up for the first seven minutes once he realized that all Chito had for him was pace, and wall and stall, looking to win positionally since he had nothing for Aldo in the standup except for pit pat leg kicks.

Aldo decided to play his game at a higher level and to better effect. Chito decided to make mastubatory gestures instead of trying to get out. If anyone says Aldo was "hanging on" or you fault him for that fight, you might need to actually blame Chito for not being good enough to get out of that position for four minutes.
