Break the rest of it. Finish the job.
 
At the most, I'd touch it up. Landlord would have to be a major dick to make a stink about a chipped sink.
 
Not sure on the renting laws in your country but in mine, a chipped sink is normal wear and tear. A landlord is required to fix or replace things. That's what you pay rent for.

So either she can fix the problem or you can and bill her. Make sure you include labour cost.

Or pull open your eyelid and rub your eyeball back and forth over the chip until your eyball pops and its juice runs out into the sink.

Or both.

Or new sink.
 
How big is the chip and where is it at? Do you have a pic?
 
Can you just put some JB Weld in there and then touch up over it?
