Is Art of War still promoting? I remember when they first came out, being somewhat impressed, I would have thought they'd have moved more onto the global radar by now.

There are many, there are events in China pretty much every week. Kunlun Fight is the major one thanks to their kickboxing roster (arguably the top kickboxing org right now) and they acquired most of the RUFF roster when they went under. Art of War which was one of the OG Chinese promotions recently rebooted and has held a couple of events. WBK, CKF, Superstar Fight, WLF, Bullet Fly FC, and Dacheng Wuyi are other ones with varying levels of event strength. The majority of them mix kickboxing and MMA together on events.
ROAD FC out of Korea has been doing very well in China the past year, possibly the foreign promotion that has made the most headway there. ONE Championship continues to put on several events a year there to varying success/non-success. Rebel FC out of Singapore has held their last few events in China, idk how successful they have been but they put together solid events.

They returned from a 7 year hiatus back in January and have held 2 events with a 3rd one scheduled at the end of this month. There's a member here that is either close to the promotion or works for them that probably knows more details into why they came back.

(RUFF) the only Chinese MMA organization sanctioned by the General Administration of Sport of China. Was supposed to give them access no other promotion got, has that changed.

AoW 18 has a 4-man tournament that will later crown the first ever champ at 77kg. Like the last event, injury bugs have bit and we lost Lowe, then Cody McKenzie. Adam Townsend is an up and comer who has taken the fight on short notice.

AoW was the first MMA org in China and was the first to be sanctioned. MMA growth is slow in China but glad to see other orgs helping build the sport. It's still not mainstream yet but hoping for a change in the near future.

AoW's target market is still China. We're always looking for ways to expand but right now the sole focus is China, specifically Beijing and Macau.

Partnerships are important. Right now we're moving along at a steady pace. We just partnered with Abu Dhabi Warriors FC. I've received a lot of comments from fans wanting us to partner with R1Z1N. Although that's not part of our plan in the near future, it's always a possibility down the road.
