It's either OK to be cruel to animals, or it's not. It's really that simple. It doesn't matter what kind of animal it is, or what it is used for. I'll go back to my original example of slaughtering cows in the West. Over 1 billion Hindus would call that cruelty to animals, and would be appalled by the practice. Regardless of how humanely it was done. To them, a cow is a sacred animal. Period. Your stand point seems to be that it's ok to do it, and in a certain way, to some animals but not to others. Which is just a way for you to justify it, and is complete hypocritical bullshit.

I don't think most westerners realize how bad the treatment of animals in China is. It's bad bad. Parents will give animals to their children and let the children play with them until the animal dies. That's normalcy, that's what's taught to the youngest generation.
