China's space lab is falling out of the sky soon.

lol

Wont this thing burn up completely? I doubt an object bigger than the size of a quarter lands anywhere.

Harvard University astrophysicist Jonathan McDowell predicts only 220-440 lbs of Tiangong-1 will make it back to the ground or seas, and the biggest risk from that remnant is likely that someone could discover the debris and contaminate themselves with hydrazine, an exceptionally toxic rocket fuel.

Seems to me the rocket fuel would burn in the fiery re entry.

Wow I'm really surprised over 200lbs of material will actually land on Earth. I was pretty confident it would all just burn to ash on re-entry. Man, it would be incredible to find a sizable chunk of something cool to keep.

I'll catch it.

Sell that shit, get famous, do shaving ads and cash in.

Then die of radiations weeks later.

Nah, I'm talking out of my ass, I don't know how radiations actually works.

By far the most likely thing is it will fall into the ocean.
Wish I could watch the re-entry
The article said the most likely thing is that the whole thing will burn up during re-entry and we'll see a meteor shower.

I hope it doesn't land in my fucking bedroom.

Lol same. About a year ago I was in my living room and I was sure I was a gonner. Sounded like a plane was falling from the sky directly at my house. Turns out it was just the air force flying jets pretty low over my neighborhood. It was a planned demonstration that I wasn't aware of. I couldn't believe how loud that shit was.

I posted that above but someone reminded me that parts of Spacelab successfully survived a reentry.

Although I think they're significantly different in size.
