Opinion China did it right.

I have relatives from a Latin American country but okay.
I've spent 30 days on 30 days off traveling South America during 2021-2024. NONE parrot what are saying.
Even if I didn't, the history is not debatable and easy to look up. I don't care about you at all and it's not germane to the discussion.
yeah I know about shit like the bay of pigs, stuff that happened in Panama etc etc... still no excuse for them to flood our country during the biden/kamalalala era.
Anyway, you're weird and this isn't going anywhere so I'm out
1. Proved to you not everyone here is some anonymous keyboarder
2. Proved you don't have the guts to state what year the US will "fall".
3. Proved your opinions of me are irrelevant.

Yes.... you are "out" and been "out" from the jump.

China is actually the things the goofy shit libs accuse Trump of being: dictator (Xi removed his term limits), fascism (social credit score that will ruin your life if you get out of line), genocide (the Uyghurs). I get other country's are bitter and Trump is a fuck up but we're not that. I'm not going to pretend to be an expert is geo-politics but betting on China over the USA seems like a dumb idea. But I guess I could be biased.
Xi took over an autocracy. Trump a democracy.

I'm hesitant to give a guy who's taking your country backwards democratically the credit for you guys being a democracy. Talking a 3rd term...

Internally you're not China, not close. But democracies slide backwards all the time. How far you're going to go is unknown, it won't be China but I think you ask most foreigners from highly developed countries we're all in agreement that you're going backwards and we're alarmed by the pace of it. I know I am.

That's just your country though. Trump for you. I'm talking about how you're going to be increasingly compared to China because geopolitically you're quite arguably worse from our perspective right now.

China is a frenemy. Trumps actions are not even that.
  • Western World voted that Russia invaded Ukraine. China abstained as a frenemy that plays the game. Trump administration voted against us. China>Trump
  • Trump has taken US admin from supporting Ukraine to extorting a democratic country invaded by an autocratic dictatorship for its mineral wealth. China might do that one day... Trump is doing it now. That's some fucked up shit.
  • China is not spazzing out and engaging in trade wars with all of us.
  • China has not threatened to invade Greenland or Canada.
  • MAGA is trying to make America rich at our expense while China is being a stable trading partner.

China is asshole and how much of a shit bag they'll be when (if) they get that power is unknown. To us you're an asshole right now <lmao>

Hence the constant comparisons being made between the two assholes and their geopolitical standing in the world.

Also.

US won the cold war by increasing trade with allied countries and ganging up on other economies. US is strong economically but allied world is OP. More global trade is conducted in $AUD than the YEN. We control the global economy.

60% of what works right there.

35% is our ideals, the results of our systems, the desire for people outside our countries to want democracy, join our economic and military alliances and our facilitation of that natural progress etc. AKA all the stuff that makes up soft power.

5% is the invisible line. Our willingness to go smack an enemy that has gone what beyond what we deem acceptable and the fear of/reality of death keeping people in line. AKA hard power.

I only gave invisible line 5% because you guys did a lot of fucked up shit during the cold war that set the whole process backwards quite a lot. As did Iraq and possibly Afg. Hard power and soft power are related using it correctly is great, incorrectly negatively effects soft power.

US recent soft power was hurt by us (allies) fighting in Iraq especially.

Conversely US soft power got a massive boost from Ukraine. Because people tend to side with the democracy getting invaded rather than the autocracy doing the invading. Especially when it's the second time in under a decade.

Still betting on you over China but I can't ignore Trump setting you back decades geopolitically in three months as a massive factor in a long geopolitical struggle between superpowers.
