A chimaev vs Alex would make a lot of sense, especially considering that Alex vs Jones was a talking point many months ago.

If Alex beats chimaev (highly doubt it), then obvious step up is Jones. And let's be real, UFC just doesn't like Ankalaev for whatever reason as they don't seem to want to risk Alex losing to Ankalaev, in turn, propelling him into a star.

185 title fight is 1 month away, he'd be silly to not just wait. BUT, if Anakalev is refusing the title shot in March & Khamzat is willing, I'd have no problem with Alex vs Khamzat given the current state of 205.
