Which one would you choose? Which one would you choose for a loved one? I'm in this situation right now where I gotta pick between the two.

Chemo is trying to save a life, hospice is trying to make them comfortable as they die
Does your loved one want to live or die?

well a hospice is for people who are done fighting and just want to die without too much pain. chemo is for people who want to extend their lives and fight to live

hm, depends a lot on the stage the person's in. super advanced with treatment not likely to be effective?
hospice I guess.

but if someone has a better than 30% chance of survival, I say go for chemo/radiation, whatever.
it's hell, but I've known ppl who have come back and recovered when the docs gave them no chance.

it's a pretty personal decision in an any event. good luck

I've never known anyone that has survived chemo. I'm not taking that shit.

If they want to live take the chemo. If they want to die take them home and give them a morphine overdose when they're ready to go.

I took chemo five days a week for six months and radiation for one day a week for six months. It sucks, but I survived.

The answer to your question depends on the severity of the case and the will of the patient.

Sorry to hear TS. As others have stated, I think it would depend on the percentage of success given by doctors, and the person's will to fight...cuz it is indeed, a fight.

I'd like to think that a chance is better than no chance. But my mom is so frail and so weak right now, and they haven't even started chemo yet, if we decide to go that route.

If there's a solid chance of survival then chemo, if not. Maybe hospice.

My grandfather was doing chemo but wasn't getting results, it made him weaker and weaker, sicker and sicker. In the end he decided he wanted to drive his boat a bit more and do a little more fishing rather than being sick as fuck 24-7.

It was an absolutely horrifying reality at the time but looking back it was the right choice.

damn homey
went through this with my mom, and many other people. keep ur spirits up and just be there for them as mucha s you can. being selfless isnt easy sometimes, but your not doing it for you.

Depends on how much I have left to do.

Trying to get my hands on cannabis oil. I'll try anything at this point.
Modern snake oil. The only people who propose cannabis oil are people who enjoy the Thc, and to them even hot pockets are magical. But actually try it and let me know.

^those articles site oil with active thc compounds, not the sterile (non intoxifying) trend of plain cannabis oil. Of course active thc can help with terminal illness related pain.
