Hey Sherdog!

Check out my retarded podcast and tell me what ya think. The quality on the first 9 is not the best, but it's gotten better. Pretty explicit as well, may not be considered SFW
Anyway you can get it @ www.rickyandtink.com or on Stitcher / iTunes @ Ricky and Tink Got Friends.

I thought it was funny when the one guy said they other one keeps getting more handsome and then the other guy didnt return the compliment. That was pretty funny. Didnt make it thru whole podcast but i will check it out when i get time. It takes a lot of guts to put yourself out there for criticism. Keep up the good work

I am in the process of starting my own as well. What equipment are you using?

Using a very cheap radio shack mixer. Bringing four mics directly into my laptop. I used audacity for software for the first few episodes, but recently moved to Cool Edit Pro.

If you need some help i'd be happy to recommend some stuff.

Been listening to a lot of podcaststs during the work day. Will give this a listen tomorrow and give you some feedback. Is your show about anything specific or just random discussion?

Downloading a couple on itunes now just because you're out there doing it.

Thanks bro. I am definitely at the beginning of an uphill battle. I just got a webdomain and am beginning to build a website to host the podcasts/rss feeds.

The only equipment I have is a mac book pro, but am looking into a mixer and condenser mike.

I would be interested to hear how you got started and will definitely check out the podcast.

Pretty dang random, essentially its life from a small west texas town in the view point of two gamers who have no real grasp on reality. Pretty random in the discussion, very random and in the end retarded.

Thanks everyone who checks it out!

Man it really isn't as hard as people make it out to be. I am pretty Mac ignorant though, not sure how much help i'd be with that software. But hardware and stuff if you want to email me what you are thinking about buying i'd be happy to toss my two cents in on it. [email protected]

Thanks for checkin out the show, I will be happy to return the favor when you get yours going.

Your sales skills are lacking.

hah, my sales skills are on the same level as my BJJ. Which is horrible.

Listened to "the break up" this morning at work and really enjoyed it. It very much reminded me of conversations that me and my buddies have when we get together. Had some legit lulz sitting at my desk and my the guy that sits across from me kept giving me the stink eye.

A few of my favorites:

"Who do you think would win in a foot race between me and Seal? Keep in mind that my resting heart rate is 98 beats per minute. My entire day is really exhausting."

"I don't think I said anything to my wife in our first year of marriage that wasn't in the movie Predator"

I was pretty sold on the podcast when you started talking about board games and brought up Hero's Quest. I had fond memories of playing that at a friend's house when I was younger and a couple of years ago I bought a copy off of Ebay to play with my nephews that were 10 and 8, and they love playing it.

I have no idea how to fix audio recording quality, but the high end sounds picked up a lot of static and kind of fuzzed out. For the most part I could ignore it, but there was a few times where there was a lot of laughter or when you were talking loud that it was a log more obvious. Other than that it was good, will definitely listen to the other episodes.

Thanks a lot for the feedback man. As far as the quality goes, I think in since ep 10 I was able to get rid of a lot of the static. Had the input on the mic channel just too high, lowering that to like 30% seemed to get rid of a lot of it.

Listened to the "Batman" episode and was pleasantly surprised when it was an interview with Batman instead of just talking about the movie. I see what another poster said about the nervous laughter. When Tink was hosting he definitely laughed a lot and sometimes couldn't get sentences out due to laughing so hard.

There was some funny stuff in there. Laughed pretty hard when Batman was talking about the Canadian that was pretending to be a rock and pepper sprayed him for looking suspicious. Had a good belly laugh when Batman talked about writing the theme song and started singing it. Luckily most of the office was gone and in a meeting so I didn't get any dirty stares.

Only downloaded 3 episodes so I'm not sure what the others are about, but you should do more interviews with fictional characters like John McClain from Die Hard or Dutch from Predator.

Also really like the opening music. Reminds me of some good old 8 bit video gaming.

Ya, we are gonna do another fictional guest where I "miss" the show soon. We want them sprinkled throughout. Thanks again man!

I put together the music form a few samples in Magix. Good to see you got where I was trying to go for..
