Soon as I finished this thing and looked at it, thought "why didn't you just grab 2 cinder blocks?"
2-3 beers and less than 45 minutes. Maybe $50 in material? I have piles of scrap wood and spray paint so not sure how much that'll run you.
(2) 32" 2x4
(2) 20" 2x4 or 2x6
(2) 14" 1x6
(4) scrap pieces to cut small blocks
(1) Roll of Anti-slip or safety grip tape - $8
(4) Tie plates ($4)
(4) 2x4 Fence brackets ($4)

Set the height blocks at top and bottom of footstep for stability

Cheat the brace legs by 1/4 to get a V camber. Secure top at 20" and bottom at 20 1/4"

Paint, then grip the footpad and climb on

Lay another 2x4 under height blocks if you want more ground clearance

Love this kind of stuff. I made a weight tree and a rolling box for my bumper plates.

the prices and foot print for those was too much, saw a simpler way to get close enough

That there's funny. Had no idea it went up 300% until this week. Wanted to deck some of the attic for storage. FK that! was $60-95 a sheet. It wasn't near that when I bought 3 sheets for the deadlift platform last year.

I had left over wood so all I bought was a 4x4 sheet of plywood and wheels. If is has to have bought everything it would have been like 150 I bet

We caught a glimpse of it in that gym vid you put up? Think it was your garage set up
