I like both of these fights. Or Edson would be a great test to see how elite he really has gotten. I'm impressed with this win streak and rooting for him to keep the streak and add to the record. Should be easier now that his Thai boxing has improved in spades

Khabibs time fighting is about up, just 2-3 matches left in him. He is NOT gonna run the LW gauntlet as champ and go on a title defense record run here. He’s gonna fight Tony, beat him, and then pry GSP off the couch and into the ring, which I think I GSP loses at this point as well. It be best to retire at that point.

IMO the UFC should not be giving someone a title shot just because they might be an awkward matchup for the champion.

But if we're going on the assumption that subs are Khabib's weakness and our goal is to have Khabib fight a "bad matchup", isn't the best option Brian Ortega coming up from 145? Ortega is a better striker too.

Oliveira has the same height and better reach than khabib, striking wise they are on same level, but Oliveira have way more finishing instinct

Oliveira might caught Khabib in a submission, it will be a fun fight to watch.

I do like Charles, but sorry he has a lot of wilt and quit in him, I seen it too many times, when the fight is not going his way he just wants out and be done with it. He does have some very slick submissions but if Khabib starts whooping on him then he won't resist for long...

he's an entertaining fighter but he's not on that level. Tony would be a much better option because he can submit from any angle but also has striking skills

You can get rid of the possibly there, bruh. Oliveira folds like a futon when he is forced to play the role of nail, but he is exciting as hell in his usual role of hammer. The kid is so damn dangerous with the subs, his striking is truly legit, and he's ridiculously strong in the clinch (or just in general, really). The guy will never be champ cuz he doesn't have the pain tolerance for it, but he is capable of beating just about everybody in the division on any given night based on his physicality and fighting style.

Provided he doesn't get punched in the face, mind you.

Charles got subbed by Pettis. And a couple of times more if I remember correctly.. He will not sub Khabib.
