It also doesn't seem like he lifts like Conor who seems to do it more so for looks. Olivera's muscle type is more functional muscle used for fighting compared to show/beach muscles. He isn't as bulky but isn't just bones either.
He went to KryptonHe's basically Ubereem 3.0 now.
He went to KryptonEver notice how Charles with glasses = Clark Kent
But once he take them off = Superman![]()
Even better yet, he's a hybrid between Superman and SSJ Goku! That blonde hair isn't dyed! It's a pure energy induced color change!
Really? I think Islam looks like a tank, I'm actually surprised he hasn't had any problems missing weight so far. Can't think of a bigger lightweight off the top of my head.He looks way bigger than Islam to me, perhaps it’s just his wide frame
I think Conor does train for looks because he was insecure about fighters calling him small or tiny like Floyd's bodyguards did pre-fight with Floyd. Plus a lot of fighters/fans clowned him for flexing all the time and saying stuff like bird chest and invisible lats syndrome. I think that all got to him and that's why he's so focused on building muscle now. His workouts are more for building muscle for looks, like bodybuilding competitions. That's why I say it's for looks. He doesn't seem to do strength conditioning for functional strength and that's why he lost all his explosiveness and he's super slow and stiff now. That style of strength and conditioning slows you down considerably. It's not the best style of strength and conditioning for fighting. Not sure about Conor doing it for looks. I just think the grappling strength disadvantage he has felt a good amount of times has made him go a bit too much on the gainz path, plus the alleged horse meat acai berry diet, of course. But have you seen him do any kind of body build-esque excercises, like curls?
Besides, he probably couldn't do much else besides strength excises for a long time due to his injury.

That's why Conor lost all his footwork, movement, explosiveness, speed, etc. His cardio/conditioning is even worse now because of that extra muscle mass. Conor probably doesn't even spend much time working on cardio/conditioning and just lifts weights most of the time now and does weighted pull-ups. Seems like all his strength conditioning is heavy weights with very slow reps and low number reps/sets.
Also grappling strength comes from grappling, lifting weights doesn't build the muscles for grappling. Those are built by picking people up and grappling against resistance. This is why the big muscular people get ragdolled by people with Askren's body type. Just look at Khabib's body type as well, he's not all big and muscular because his strength and conditioning isn't the same as Conor's style.
What a load of BS, bud. You don't always have to act like you know everything about the game and spit out anything that comes to mind.
You know Jordan Burroughs ? The guy who absolutely demolished Askren in rasslin'
Here he is benching.
Here he does weighted dips and pull ups.
Here's Islam doing a heavy ass bench and seated squat.
Grappling strength comes from both grappling itself and supplementary strength training.
They do different intensity. My point was Conor does all his movements slowly and probably does more max lift work to try and get his muscles bigger. Which means high weight low and low reps. Jordan Borughs does it for explosiveness. He does high pace strength training. Look at the speed he does everything and compare with Conor. That was my point. Conor does his workouts like a bodybuilder, not a fighter. That's what I mean he does it for show/looks. Because bodybuilding is for looks. They literally judge how your muscles look and the muscle definition, they don't judge how effective the muscles are, or how strong you actually are, or if you have actual functional strength.
I do weighted pull ups and dips too. But that isn't the only thing I do and I don't focus on slow reps and slow intensity. I'll do it with just body weight and focus on speed/volume/intensity as well. You have to train both styles. Most of the stuff I ever see Conor post is all slow pace, low intensity, slow reps. That was my point, that's why he's lost all his explosiveness as well. He doesn't train for speed and explosiveness anymore. He trains just for muscle now and that is why his looks super slow now in all his training footage. That isn't because of his leg, that's because of his training. He was slow before his leg broke.
Also look at most of Jordan's workouts, most of it full body movements or things that require speed and movement/jumping. He isn't just lifting weights like most people typically lift weights. Like what Conor usually shows lifting weights. Jordan does strength and conditioning training with movement/speed/intensity. Not just curls and bench presses, etc. The only thing similar to that from Conor's strength and conditioning training is the bench presses and weighted pull-ups. Nothing else they do is similar.
Also all that helps with grappling strength, but that alone wouldn't give you grappling strength. Which is my point. Because a lot of the strength comes from doing specific techniques and movements that only get worked out during those movements during grappling vs resistance or picking up a body. Just like punching, you don't work your punching strength by lifting weights. Can it help your overall punching power? Yes, but that's not what gives you punching power. Training power punching is what gives you punching power. This is why a lot of bodybuilders are pillow fisted if they never trained to really throw power punches. They throw arm and push punches instead. Just like how bodybuilders would get rag dolled by smaller wrestlers if they don't train grappling/wrestling. All that extra work is to help improve your overall grappling strength and punching power. Just weightlifting alone won't give you grappling strength or punching power.
Hmm...

Yes for wrestling, not for striking. That's why I said only doing that style doesn't benefit Conor who is a striking based fighter. That's why he's now slow and lost all his speed/footwork/movement. Wrestlers also build a lot of their explosiveness and grappling strength by actually wrestling. There's no weightlifting substitute for that. The muscles developed for those specific moves/techniques can only be worked while you are physically doing those moves/techniques with a live body with their bodyweight and resistance.Slow paced / slow reps lifting is one of the most important parts of strength and conditioning for wrestling. Some kind of modified power lifting. That's where you get the retard strength
Sorry you must have realized you were wrong and taking your anger out on me. Sorry that you didn't know that, I really am. Shit is common sense to me, but I guess common sense isn't really so common to most people. Sucks to be you. Keep hating, have a good day/night.You say so much, while saying so little. It's really annoying to read. And even more annoying to have a conversation with, because I know there will be more walls of text in the future that are all over the place and filled with redundancies.
All your answer needed to be is he does his excercises slowly. It's the only relevant point you make. Which still doesn't really speak to his motivation for the work out, as much as it just speaks for the (in)efficiency of the work out.
You also always seem to keep to the faulty principle of absence of evidence is evidence of absence. I'll let you figure out why and see how self aware you are.

Those are bumpers plates. It's a lot lighter than it looks. I don't think it passes teh 275.
It's called details buddy, I'm sorry it's all going over your head. Keep up buddy. Train your brain and not just your body and maybe I'll be easier for you to understand lol.No, I'm a bit frustrated with your inability to communicate efficiently. I realize that I am a dick for expressing that, but it is what it is.
In fighting you want to be smooth and efficient with no wasted movement and energy, same with communication, you want to stray away from the essence of the discussion as little as possible, because it potentially will obscure your point and open you up to new discussions, before the initial one has been concluded. And for the recipient it takes more effort than it should have to, to really understand the core argument of your position.
And indeed a lot of what you said is common sense/knowledge, that's why you could have left a lot of what you said out of the argument you made and just keep it to the bare essence.
For example, if you go into detail too much and you don't get those details right, like saying grappling strength doesn't come from conventional strength training, but from grappling and moving bodies around, you done fucked up, while it wasn't all that important for your core argument to go there. You somewhat recovered from it though, by elaborating on what you meant, but you could have easily avoided it.
Less is more, sometimes.

Simply you are just a hater that got your feelings hurt. I'm out of your weight class boy.
