Truthfully, I thought he won the second fight with Alvarez- although I was rooting for alvarez, hoping for alvarez to win, and happy that he won, I thought that Chandler won 3 rounds to 2.

I also thought he won the first fight with Brooks- I thought he stole the 5th round and the fight with the knockdown in the last minute.

Both fights were very close though, and the second loss to Brooks was pretty clear-cut.

Where do you think this guy ranks? And how do you think he matches up with the other top lightweights?

Also, if Bellator is smart, they will set up the fight between Chandler and the younger Pitbull. They need some fresh matchups and theres a good story here for marketing.

I agree that he beat Alvarez in the second fight. I remember the first Brooks fight was close but can't remember it too well. Brooks completely owned him in the rematch though.

Either way I think Chandler's a legit top 10 LW. I think he'd do well in the UFC.

we will really know when he fights benson henderson

i think chandler can be upper top ten but his defense is too poor for him to be top five

LW's a very competitive, match-up based division, so it's hard to rank the top guys. It's hard to really assess whether Chandler is back to his best until he fights Bendo.

For what it's worth, I consider him one of the worst possible match-ups for Khabib.

He isn't top ten and he would get murdered in the UFC. I also don't think will Brooks will do well for that matter either barring his first fight.

Lol at everyone saying he would get murdered. Uhhhhh Eddie Alvarez?????

Did anyone else think that Chandler had a slightly different striking style? I haven't rewatched his older fights but Iirc he usually keeps his hands much lower than tonight. It would say he looked much better tonight.

I think hes top 10 but LW is so stacked in a few months he might not be anymore, its always changing and it has the lowest disparity between the top 5 guys compared to the 15th-20th ranked guys of any division by far. ATM id go

RDA
Khabib
Tony
Will
Eddie
Chandler
Edson
Nate
Dustin
Menace

HM: Held, Gaethje

The last 2 spots after Nate tho i can see Held and/or Gaethje. Iaquinta, Dariush and Chiesa to lesser extent tho i dont feel comfortable with them being top 10 at this point due to variety of reasons, more comfortable with Iaquinta and Dariush than Chiesa tho. Rashid Magomedov skillwise is top 10 but he needs a top win first before i can put him.

Pettis is moving to FW so i didnt put him.

Donalds @ WW, if Donald still counts then put him at #4 or 5 and bump out Menace Johnson.

Giblert has been inactive for too long plus im not sure how hes gonna look now so i dropped him. If i had to guess bottom top 10 and drop out Menace.

Benson is @ WW but id put him at 6 or 7 here prolly if he counts for LW.

He's 100% a top ten talent, I think he probably sitting at around 10- 12 spot right now
He only looked bad in one of his three losses, IMO he was 1-1-1 in those match up
He's destroyed 3 straight opponents and if he could get wins over Thomson and Bendo that puts him close to the top 5
