Chandler: Dirty fighter?

Old thread, but might as well post in it.

Like Daniel Cormier with the eye pokes against Stipe, we should give a fighter the benefit of the doubt on the 1st occurence... but they've earned the 'dirty fighter' label on the 2nd occurence.

iirc he was also trying to dig his fingers into Dustin's cuts on top of the fish hooking, back of the head shots and blowing his nose

and i remember back of the head shots and glove grabbing against Olives

hard to say he's not a dirty fighter

Yeah, the consequences from that was huge imo. Dustin didn't complain so it was never really mentioned.
I brought it up and got flamed for it, lmao. Charles had wonafter all but yeah, that glove grab changed the fight. Classy of Dustin to not raise a ruckus about it. Poor guy is on the bad end time and time again.

There's a few lines in the sand I'd draw. There's a difference between someone who purposefully fights dirty and a guy who, in the context of a fight, allows dirty things to happen. The second is fine with explanation and/or apology, but his attitude towards his fouls, errant though they may be, kinda shows him to be dirty. Like, you can only ignore your own mistakes enough before it's willful negligence, and his reaction to it all was pretty ignorant.

But then again, that's all in contrast to how the label of a 'dirty fighter' would usually be reserved for someone with a long history of being dirty, and I don't quite recall enough past events to fit him that bill.

That's the way this place is, brother, I don't waste my time trying to combat the dumbshits. Lol
It's crazy that Dustin went off on Chandler when he won the fight, but when he lost to Charles he didn't say anything. I guess since he lost he felt he didn't have the right to complain.

if you aint cheating you aint trying

He clearly had a lot of respect for Charles while he did not really like Chandler before the fight. I think what really pissed off Dustin was Chandler blowing his bloody nose on him. The weasel revealed a rather disturbing image of the fight and well.. No surprise Dustin was pissed even after the fight lol.

Good point, you're correct.

Bring back no rules then there are no dirty fighters!!

Fishhooks, glove grabs, fence grabs, stomps, kicks, and knees on the ground all of it!

He definitely committed a trifecta of fouls in the fight but it's hard for me to say what's on purpose and what isn't in the throws of a wild brawl.

When a lot of these guys admit to not remembering rounds or whole fights after they're done I can't sit and cast judgment on shit that happens in the heat of battle.
