Nate's a smart fighter. I think if he was losing the standup he'd be smart enough to take it to the ground where he knows he's got sharp ground skills and McGregor's ground skills are not well known but most likely not nearly as good as Diaz's.

What's the the chance of Nate taking it to the ground whether or not he's losing the stand up and ending it with a submission?

Nate most likely will want to stand and bang even if he is losing, he's a straight up brawler, but he could surprise everyone and box for a bit and then quicky go for the submission. He could do it off of a takedown or catch a McGregor kick.

yeah with diaz's credentials and proven facts if it goes to the ground diaz will try some subs on him and i like his chances if it does happen

No one knows whether or not he'll take it to the ground.

All I'll say is, this whole idea that's being thrown about, about how Diaz will be too 'proud' to take it to the ground is bullshit. If he gets the chance, he's taking it to the ground.

Wouldn't be surprised if he was too proud to do it.

I think Diaz really want to be able to say "I beat that Irish mother fucker's ass STOCKTON WUT" so I like to think he'll go to the ground if he needs to.

If he Stockton slap TKO's Conor I'd shit.

Fans of both but I want to see Conor keep on his roll.

If Conor dominates Nate that'd be really impressive.

I'm guessing Conor is better than Oliveira on the ground. Better quality training and trainers. But that's my opinion.

It's all relative. I don't think Conor trains with anybody as good as Nate does, ground-wise.

That is my point ....we all know Nate loves to stand and bang...and he is not well known to initiate a takedown...so we are all up for fireworks ...but i would not be surprised of Nate tried to keep the fight on ground because if Nate can do that...he has a better chance of beating Conor....and if Nate can do to Conor what Alvarez did to Pettis...it would be boringly interesting fight

If Nate gets Conor down, Conor will easily get back up or Nate will be throw if subs. It could be really interesting.

None of those guys fight like the other. At all.

But their skills are similar. One uses almost all striking while the other mostly uses striking now but also has a solid ground game with submission wins.
