Chael was the best ever on the mic

Chael is many things, and a snitch is one of them.

He was quite versatile. The countdown to UFC 117 is probably his best work. There’s humour but it’s a lot more low key and serious

Number 1. Nobody comes close.

A fine actor, if you ask me.

His deadpan delivery worked not just in scripted promos

The GOAT

You would be amazed how many people took Chael seriously?? On Sherdog, I started wondering if it were kids? or people with some kind of learning disability? because they would take him seriously? You can't watch 25 seconds of it without thinking he is full of BS? At least I could not. There were the haters of course, but, the others were the majority?

Regardless, he was one entertaining person to watch. I thought he was funny and took some things a bit far but still funny. It was fun at first. I still think he was very lucky to get that far with AS in first fight. At the fight, I saw AS walk to the octagon and the coloring on his face told me he was very ill. I think AS had a broken rib but he never mentioned it till later. Mad respect for him coming to that fight.

I wish they did post fight press conferences with all the fighters after the fights again, so they can argue and give us amazing moments.

Mixed feelings. Chael is the best ever in MMA on the mic but he helped ushered in a new era that is probably not for the better.

Connor has had his moments but often just takes it too far.

Covington is too gimmicky.

Izzy talking trash sounds so performative and rote.

His pre-rehearsed one-liners did nothing for me because he very obviously didn't believe them, couldn't back them up, & wasn't all that bothered about backing them up as long as he was just getting paid. He'd spout off nonsense for months in advance, succumb to the first real offense he had to endure, & say "he's a true champion, man".

Yeah it sucks so much since they got rid of it. That was way better for promoting than what they do now

Agree, 100%. Many times, he went right up to the line, and almost crossed it a few times, but was still funny AF!

He definitely did his job in promoting his fights - 100%..... a bit too much " WWF wrestling" schtick for my liking as it came across ingenuine but he grew an enormous fan base from it. The nog/bus line had me laughing for days-

He's a talker for sure.
I struggle with his new catchphrase, "i only bring this to you" that he uses every time he's behind a mic now.
