I think chael has a much better chance vs fedor given the size difference and fedor getting to reckless and getting takendown but man fedor could end his career completely with a overheand shot

what people dont realize now though is chael never trained jiu jitsu until the last few years he is now a legit brown belt and has developed some good head and arm chokes when all you have is gnp you give up space to allow the guy to get up but now chael has subs and transitions from top and bottom so i cant wait for this
 
Chael couldn't even win the staredown with fedor. Ended with a hug after his attempted mean mugging.
I'm not sure which...but, fedor by ko or sub.
 
I think Fedor will get roughed up by Chael but will ultimately TKO him. But I think he will almost certainly lose to whoever he faces after Chael. In the very unlikely event that Bader is that person, Fedor will have good odds. If it's Mitrione or Mo, his odds are bleak.

Fedor on ice cream took out Mir on horse meat...

Fedor will be bigger and stronger and CHAEL will be safe nowhere.

Even if he gets it to the ground ask Coleman how well that worked out ....

He's a solid fighter and a bad match up for Fedor. Actually everyone else in the tournament is a bad matchup for Fedor, to be honest. I think he'll beat Chael on power alone, but he does not match up very well with any of the other three. I said "good odds" against Bader, but actually it's more like 50/50.

If Cro Cop took out King Mo, why is Fedor at such bad odds?

And what makes King Mo better than Bader?

Cro Cop's wrestling defense is much better than Fedor's and he was still taken down several times. Mo was winning most of the fight. I'm not saying Fedor can't or won't win, but the odds are against him.

Mo has better head movement and a better chin. In terms of standup, Bader is basically a smaller, slightly faster Mir who doesn't hit as hard.

the miyao brothers would lose a stare down to 99% of sherdog but would beat the fuck out of 99% of sherdog as well bad example
 
fedor has been gassing fats in fights lately and chael is the type of person to wear you down his jiu jitsu is alottttttt better than what it sue to be tbh im surprised he was as good as he was back then with such poor technique now he has been training for years his positioning is very strong and his series of subs he goes for watching him roll is night and day difference from what he was 4 years ago


in thepast of chael got to his back he was a fish out of water now he can use half guard to come up to a single and sweep to top or use butterfly hooks to elevate back to the feat just wish he made this move years earlier in his 20s chael would have been alot higher in rankings if he had the skills he has now sadly

Agreed. I also believe that Cro Cop is juiced to the gills atm - Fedor won’t be, although it would be awesome to see a TRT-version of Fedor at this point.

As a huge Fedor fan, Cro Cop on whatever the fuck he's on, would obliterate Fedor right now. Fedor just doesn't have the reflexes or chin anymore. Not light enough on his feet either.

Watch Prime Fedor vs Prime Cro Cop and see how nimble Fedor is in bouncing around and how good he is at judging distance. Even watch Fedor vs Arlovski in that regard.

Now watch Fedor vs Mir when he is flat footed and slow and can't tell how close he is and getting caught by a few weak Mir jabs.

Cro Cop probably breaks Fedor's orbital lol.

That being said, Mo is a bad matchup because wrestle fuck. Cro Cop has insane TDD. Always has. I didn't catch the Mo-Cro Cop fight, but I assume that's how it went. Maybe I'm wrong, correct me if I am.

Mo probably can't finish Fedor on the ground and might gas, but I'd bet on wrestle fuckery if they fought.

When did Fedor gas? Ever?

Fedor didn't even after getting fucked up by malanado in the first round. He recovered and won the last two rounds of that fight easily despite everything that happened in round 1.

Meathead was a quick fight, as was Mir, as was Singh.

Only time I've seen him gassed was the third Nog fight, but that was after laying down a tremendous beating and tossing Nog around like a bag of shit for 20 minutes. To be fair Nog's chin back then was granite.

chaels top pressure from wrestling and gnp is what made him so good but his bjj positioning and transitions wernt there which caused him alot of issues his double leg was a doule edge sword now though hes alot better he isnt with team quest hes with gracie barra now and has a solid jiu jitsu program i could tell in the rampage fight on the ground the way eh was basing himself hes alot smoother that with his wrestling control and gnp is very veryyyy dangerous


tbh khabib and askren are only guys i think would be better right now
 
I'm actually picking Chael to knock Fedor out.

Fedor's chin is dangling by a thread these days and Sonnen's striking actually looked much improved against Rampage.

Sonnen by round 2 KO after a 10-8 first round where he batters Fedor with GNP and leaves him gassed.
