Sonnen talking nonsense about HW, yeah today is a bit of a backwater division but in the early/mid 00's it was the division right at the forefront of MMA, guys like Fedor and Nog for me were clearly the most evoled fighters in the whole sport at that point.

You can't really relate MMA divisions directly to other sports as well either IMHO, the thing about MMA is that it can potentially cherrypick the best talent from many other sports, so if the money is there looking for that talent a division can get strong, if the money isn't there it can quickly decline.

If you watched the Fedor fight. Then you know that Chael absolutely knows what he’s up against. In fact, he said Fedor was the easier fight for him. He’s already got his gameplan made.

Knowing what you have to do is one thing. Implementing it in real time is not always easy. That’s what made GSP so good. His ability to deviate from the gameplan, if things weren’t quite going right. While not going into panic mode.

Let’s see how Chael does. Personally I think he will win. But, it’s really fucking close in my eyes.

There is zero doubt in my mind Chael threw that fight. I’ve only seen three fights that I believe 100% were fixed. That one is number 1.
