This sounds biased because I'm a huge Cerrone fan but he'd be the perfect replacement against Conor because 1) the trash talk would be epic 2) he just fought so he'd still be in good shape 3) they could do a catch weight fight at 165 4) Cerrone never pulls out and has already fought with a broken foot before lol fuck you RDA 5) just reschedule Conor vs RDA for UFC 200 even if Conor loses to Cerrone 6) Conor is a bad style for Cerrone due to the huge boxing advantage

I don't really see any meaningful difference between him and Nate as far as what they bring to the table for Conor.

Cerrone could get a sneaky sub, but Conor beats him standing.

1) McGregor would have ZERO difficulties with Cerrone.

1. not really. cerrone did just lose to rda
2. ufc wouldn't want that, needs to be someone who limits the risk of conor being out of 200
3. i don't know why that is perfect
4. only reason to use cerrone
5. if conor loses they would not reschedule a title fight
6. cowboy would probably go for takedowns

Why is doing the fight at a catchweight of 165 a positive thing?

If McGregor was to lose against Cowboy how on earth does it make sense to reschedule him against RDA for UFC 200.

It makes the most sense, the other option is Pettis which would be a great match up but he's not deserving of this fight after losing his last 2.

Benson would be the perfect replacement, but Dana let him go

Conor's not taking this fight unless it's for a belt. And no way Cerrone can lose 30+ pounds in 2 weeks and fight reasonably.

Conor won't fight ufc 197. And you can take that to the bank. Too risky

Cerrone would be the biggest name on Conor's record besides Aldo. That includes Mendes. Cowboy doesn't make excuses and should be in shape. If he can make LW or an agreed on catch-weight limit. I don't want them putting in someone who's not in shape then repeating the Mendes shit again if Conor wins.
