He had some weird contract before where every fight his show and bonus money went up by 3k. Matt Brown must have been the last fight on his contract because he got 88k to show and 88k to win for that fight. Now he's getting a consistent 155k to show and 155k to win, I don't know how many fights it's for but I bet he wants to fight as much as possible and get an even better contract.

Something weird is going on though, he doesn't seem to get bonuses anymore (UFC is possibly salty about him speaking in favor of a union) and they also seem to be giving him much tougher matchups... to keep him from getting that extra 155k?

Quite frankly i expected cerrones purse to be way higher than that.

Are you sure you got those numbers right?

EDIT: yup numbers are correct, i miss read the OP.... though it was only 155 total

Cerrone should consider holding off on the drinking from now on until his career is over.

Party when he is done because if he keeps acting like a young man he is going to get hurt really bad and won't be able to enjoy his earnings.

He’s also not fighting as often these days.

Remember when he bolted out of the gates after the WEC/UFC merger?
He had like 100 fights in his first 2 years!

Officially, he’s had 27 fights in the UFC, since 2011. Which is pretty amazing in this modern era.
Cain Velasquez has had 7 fights in that same span. Against 4 different opponents too, mind you.

Are they? He's been fighting top talent since WEC and Yancy isn't that amazing.

Yep you can look it up, I mean all things considered he should be getting more since Overeem got 850k to show against Ngannou and has always gotten paid really well.

300k if you win is pretty good, to get better inf the UFC you need to be a champ or a HW

Yancy might not have been but Masvidal and Till were both bad matchups and all 3 of these dudes were ranked lower. Not sure about leon edwards but he's a young dude on a 5 fight win streak. I mean Till is massive and was nowhere even close to being ranked.

Overeem is a well known HW and negotiated his contract after beating JDS just before his title shot

I would be willing to bet a goodly sum that cowboy gets paid alot more than what gets disclosed to the AC's

What an absolute joke. Donald Cowboy Cerronne is industry famous, a consistent main eventer and a contender for most wins in the UFC organization's history. The UFC probably made a 90%+ profit margin on Cowboy's career and if he keeps signing stupid contracts, they'll keep doing so.

Broner laughs at Hearn's 3 fight / $6 Million guarantees meanwhile

Cowboy in his 28th UFC fight, hopes to hit 7 figures one day. It's tragic really.

Pretty sure Cerrone is one of the few UFC fighters who still makes big money on sponsors in spite of the Reebok deal

Being sort of a human cartoon character in this sport is profitable

I think he gets a decent amount from his Budweiser Sponsorship.

Seems weird to pay him now, seeing as he’s about to be knocked out into irrelevancy by Edwards

Harley-Davidson and monster too off the top of my head

He makes plenty of money for sure

Don't think he saves much of it but hey thats his prerogative I guess

I heard he came from money

I agree with you though either way

It's about time he got paid well. Such an exciting fighter.
